Nothing we didn't know already lol. Still have to guess which piece of gear yield higher rates of individual materia.
Thats ok, only thing I've seen on the first few pages have been whining and complaints. Just wanted to make sure for those of us who didn't see the offical list know where to get it.
Yea, but I think most of us already knew materia was slot based.
However, different pieces of gear for each slot have different probabilities for the materia within the slot. Figuring that out is still up to us, which is fine with me.
Huh, I wasn't aware of this chart, thanks for posting it!
I've been trying to keep a log of every gear-to-materia conversion my LS members and I have witnessed, to see what items turn into what materia and see if there were any trends, and from the looks of what I had gathered, most gear will often turn into a materia that can be attached to that type of gear. After a quick look at that chart, it looks like it confirms my theory.![]()
I have a feeling that the probabilities for getting different materia on the same item are equal. So getting a healer's hand from a conjurer's arm is greater than getting it from a belt as the belt makes a greater variety.
ya i agree i don't think there a higher % for diff type of item i think there just all the same.

Not really what I was implying.
Example:
Fingerless Raptorskin Gloves: High probability of INT materia
Dated Reinforced Iron Mitt Gauntlets: High probability of STR materia
I've tested those 2 myself and there is a definite difference between the two. On the raptors I got 6 INT materia out of 9 gloves and not a single STR. While with the Gauntlets I got 4 STR materia and only 1 INT out of 8 gloves. Yea, it's really not a big enough sample size to confirm anything, but other pieces of gear seem to follow the same rules from my experience.
