About Us:

We're a small group of friends who have grown quite close over the years, and as cliche as it may sound we really do feel like we've formed a little family. Several of our members are married couples and old friends. Though we are a tight-knit group, we are by no means exclusive. We're like Eorzea's Olive Garden: When you're at the Wanderer's Palace, you're family.

Our time in FFXIV is largely devoted to hanging out and having fun. It's a way to unwind after a long day at work or running errands, or a bit of "me" time when the baby is napping. We level our crafting classes between loads of laundry and get caught up on our Crunchyroll queue while waiting in the dps queue (sometimes we skip the queue and run roulettes as double dates). Adulting is hard work, and we want to enjoy our play time: no pressure, no unnecessary stress, just do your thing.

- Purchase and activate your own company actions
- We use Discord but it's mostly for information, announcements, and event planning, along with a bit of banter in the General text channel when people are online. Some of us like to use voice chat when we're partied up but it's not mandatory or expected.


Recruitment Focus & Expectations:

This recruitment campaign isn't just about finding warm bodies to fill the ranks. It's a search for some kindred spirits who want to help build upon the foundation we've laid, to breathe some new life into an FC that has a good core but has suffered from a decrease in activity over time.

Update: We have had an awesome growth spurt since recruitment efforts began, so activity is definitely increasing! After a pause in recruitment, we're back and ready for more. As the FC grows, it's also important for us to ensure that the place runs smoothly, so we're especially interested in finding new members who want to help with organization and administration. However, if you just want to hang out and do fun stuff, that's cool too!

Whether you're a Disciple of War or Magic, the Hand or the Land, Minions or Glamours, we'd be happy to have you. If you're new to the game, our veteran members can provide guidance and support as you explore Eorzea and all it has to offer. Already reached endgame? Then we look forward to raiding with you and hope you'll share your sage wisdom with the sprouts. Skill and experience are good to have, but what matters most is your attitude toward the game and the people you play it with. Do your best, laugh at and learn from your mistakes, and respect your fellow members.

That last one is especially important to us. There aren't many things that we get super serious about, but we will not tolerate any hateful behavior. Because we are an adult FC, you may see some mature content in our chat and our sense of humor may go outside the scope of polite conversation, but we draw the line at jokes that disparage an individual or group based on race, religion, gender/identity, orientation, ability, etc.. We're all about the fun and friendship here, and making our members feel unsafe or unwelcome is extremely uncool.

When I was putting together this recruitment ad, I asked some of our members to share a little about what the FC means to them.
Here's what our leader/founder had to say:

After I met my husband in World of Warcraft, I expected my luck with meeting great people in MMOs to be spent. Then we formed <<Everyone's Grudge>> and I found a family. Over the last few years we've all become so close, and every new member just makes our family bigger. I've never met a group of people more willing to help each other out, from crafting gear to glamour help to marathoning old content to help new members catch up. Everyone here has a pride in the FC that you won't find in the mega-FCs where no one even knows your name. We love hanging out at our house and taking photos and doing silly stuff together. Some days we just sit in game and chat about our lives or what we watched on Netflix last night. Many of us have even met up in real life and play other games together. All I can say is I love these people, and they are the true reason I log in.

Well, I was planning to keep updating with more blurbs from our members, but that will have to wait. When we started recruiting, we were thinking that we'd be lucky if we got one or two new members. Instead, we're now experiencing more growth than we've ever seen. While we are beyond thrilled to have made so many new friends so quickly, we have decided that this is a good time to pause our recruitment efforts. This does not mean that we are totally done with recruiting--we just need time to adjust, let the new folks settle in, and tend to some administrative stuff before we continue.
