As people may trade you to sabotage you getting that plot you been wanting for so long.
/busy disables this.
Now good luck on getting that house!

If you log in outside of a plot, putting yourself on busy, even via macro, will be valuable seconds lost that could lose you the plot to others who log in there. Good idea if you need to move though.
That's why my plan is to log out right out of my plot and try to snag it first. If that doesn't work, set the macro and start running.
I don't get it.. if they are trying to trade with you, they aren't able to buy either.
I am going to try.. if I don't get one, I will keep an eye out for something available.. some people will buy but wont have the cash to get the permit etc.. so I will be banking on it. If I really can't get a house, I will probably transfer late Spring.
People have friends that care more about them getting the plot than you.I don't get it.. if they are trying to trade with you, they aren't able to buy either.

I have a keybound busy macro that I can activate without any lost time, personally.
Yes. I saw a video on housing and someone said that tip and I thought nah, that seems crappy, but like previously mentioned, people who have homes will help their friends secure their own by doing this. But it is whoever logs in the fastest gets the plot.
So good luck to everyone tonight![]()
This isn't even an issue. IF you can't do 2 click in the time the window is open of 2 mins from login your already out of luck.
Anyone spamming trade is missing there chance to get the same home your already at.
Also as this is a known issue. I would report the hell out of anyone that did it to me. As this would be known harassment.

IF someone is successful in this method of harassment and ensures someone does not receive a plot, reporting the person will do little to alleviate the pain of the individual who lost out on said plot to begin with due to the said harassment. I do agree they should be reported immediately, but it's not like SE will remove the house from the player and give it to the victim. Hence why the warning, cause you never truly know. (Thanks btw!)
If someone succeeds in tradeblocking me, yes, i won't get the house, but i will report them anyways. One can always hope that person already has 2-3 warnings stacked up and will now get banned. They will loose their slot in their static and when they finally come back they will be so far behind in gear, most statics will just laugh at them in their shiny BiS gear. When their wife hears about them loosing their static job she will take the kids and move in with her parents in their fancy Mist Mansion, refusing the tradeblocker to see his children. Tradeblocker is now spending way too much time and gil in the Inn drinking Ale and shouting at people. A few years pass and tradeblocker is now begging the streets of Ul'dah, deeply regretting the day he tradeblocked meIF someone is successful in this method of harassment and ensures someone does not receive a plot, reporting the person will do little to alleviate the pain of the individual who lost out on said plot to begin with due to the said harassment.
