Developers, Please Address Samurai Kicking

Not gonna dupe bard. If there's already a bard in the party, then I'd rather a SAM than a second bard any day of the week. Just how the cookie crumbles.

could you please take a step back from your blind ego and start thinking about the things you say? The most popular jobs ironically face the same problem than the less popular ones - our spots are always taken as well after login - old age smn speaking here (4.1 hello. \o/ ) - so most of the time those cls have to set their party from the scratch as well. Live is savage you know....

At first I thought this was just another whine post but after two weeks of paying attention SAM seems like a pariah in pf, nobody really wants them.

I even heard multiple times how SAM is trash and the people who play them are idiots which isn’t something that should be happening but unfortunately it’s happening to SAM mains sorry guys but if we have learned anything from SE and DRK it may just be time to switch classes

This is one reason why I dislike that it's pretty annoying to gear up more than one class at a time. If you like MNK though, you can just use the gear for that, but you can't tell your preferred class will be crap and that people will dislike your class. Very rarely have i seen in other games that it's just outright OK to kick people based on their class and literally no other reason. Making a group isn't all that easy especially if you don't have many friends to help fill those roles. You may get lucky, but not always and would just be nice to join the already made groups, but since there's such a stigma on that, They need to address it by fixing their classes or getting rid of some meta/synergy stuff and just buff some of the classes.

Sadly as long as SE won’t setup a strict grp comp for specific content there will always be a meta no matter how hard they try to balance stuff around... the only way to solve that problem is to change our own mind/opinion/behavior about those metas... there always will be elites or speedrunners who don’t care but if you really wanna change something in the longterm first of all we have to look into ourselfs more than anything else.

its like talking to toastbread... even though player on your own datacenta claimed you are overreacting and top tier cls claimed they have their own problems to find spots - you are just whining about a problem nearly every cls faced once... in a while. what exactly do u wanna hear from your follow community if not honesty? I don't get your "chance vs. no chance" - in the matter we both have to start our parties from the scratch... uhm.

And I claim the opposite. Why is their word more trustworthy than my own? Is it because you agree with them because it aligns with your views? A little unfair, I think.

What one person experience varies greatly from another person. You may as well say everyone lives the same way in the world with that logic. Their problems finding spots aren't the same as what Samurai goes through(at this current point in time). The -closest- I can remember facing this issue is probably Astrologian back in Gordias as far as -excluding- or not giving them a chance. Actually, probably Machinists too I think. Now, I can at least say I don't recall every single dilemma each class has went through. But the severity of that is unknown to me or rather simply not voiced as loudly.

Not taking "Creating your own party" into consideration. The standard comps I see for God Kefka have been PLD(DRK)/WAR/Healersx2/MNK(DRG)/NIN/SMN(RDM,BLM)/BRD(MCH).
The Chance vs. No Chance is me saying, you, as a SMN have that chance to get into this party. If you do not, it is because someone beat you to it. Or that person has you blacklisted. There is no chance for Samurai here.

Yes, this -can- be rectified by "Creating your own party" but there's many X Factors to consider here which people will say "Just wait it out". A little silly point, I can't really argue that other than saying "Waiting 3-9 hours potentially is a little brutal" which is no more than what one could say "impatient". But the longer you wait, the more time you run out of to get things done.

^^; I acknowledged everything people have stated and agreed for the most part. I only rebutted saying "There's more to it than that" basically. You never gave examples and instead chose to generalize by saying all classes. I even went and said I don't claim to know every single issue in the game, but you chose to dismiss me as ignorant instead. BLM itself is in a similar spot, but slightly better off than Samurai. Even had a friend tell me he'd take a BLM over SAM, but dislikes them both. But you don't have to believe me on that.

Just wait 3-4 days and see what kinda buff sam is getting the devs already mentioned they are buffing their dps which imo seeing how sam is their poster child for stormblood I can see them overbuffing like 4.1 smn.
