Tomestone Weekly Cap Overflow

I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets annoyed by the messages of being unable to collect any more tomestones of mendacity or whatever the current 450 weekly capped tomestone is. And I'm sure I'm not the first to suggest this but has SE ever stated why they don't let the excess tomestones convert into the lower level when you are capped? So you would earn however many tomestones of mendacity you would have gotten as extra creation.

This would make gearing alternate jobs easier. And since the 330 gear still requires Rabanstre coins it's not like it would make the process too easy. It's still hours of investment per job. And this is to help gear people's extra jobs faster into the new content. Get that 310 healer you rarely play into 330s fast and heal a bit of normal sigmascape for folks.

So yeah... Has there ever been a stated reason this doesn't happen?

don't think SE ever said anything that specific but the idea u have (weekly tomes gained while at weekly limit becomeing the unlimited lower version) does sould like a good idea.

Eventually, when the lower Tomestone gets rotated out, it can be traded up at the rate of 4 gets you 1 of the then higher, now lower tomestone. So going 1:1 on the conversion going down should be viable, if they decided to do such a thing. It would be nice.

Heck, even if it didn’t go to the lower tomestone and instead went ot Poetics, it’d be nice.

No, they never stated a reason but the reason is obvious.

I don't mind the cap so much as the dumb warnings that pop up saying "hey, you're not gonna get these since you're already capped".
