I would have loved to see this.
Sadly, now that we have the other thing, I doubt we will see this anytime soon or soonish, if ever.

Reading too much of the forums makes me very sad and apathetic.
The problem is not the interface. The problem is the system itself. They need to find a way to have all the glamours unlocked in our character without compromise the server stability and without increase the data transfer from server to client. The problem seems to manage a list with the armor we unlocked in the game. That list need to be updating all the time we transfer from areas and every time we obtain/discard/sell/ items and whatever interaction with inventory. Now imagine all the players updating that log status almost all the time. It can be millions of interactions with those files. The games seems not have any system, and they need create it from the scrap or even modify the game core. That's why they are trying to make a system without need touch the core code.
The problem it is not the interface. You can create any interface possible. Interface only represent data output and input. It does nothing about the system itself.
I love this OP. It's beautiful. It would be awesome to display sets or also be able to try on outfit from those menus as well. As well as including options to filter by dungeon / crafted / raid / pvp etc.
I really, really wish they had taken the glamour log more seriously. All these beautiful sets in game just for nothing at the end of each patch.
All we got was a new retainer that destroys your stuff.

Why?! It's pointless.
I'll ask you this. You have a nice, shiny box with ten apples, ten oranges and ten bananas. You want a banana. You open the box wanting to remove one. And what happens?! You take out one banana, right?! Do you care about how many are left?! How many apples or oranges are there, or even if there are any apples or oranges?! No. You just want a banana, you got it, you close the box and do with the banana whatever you wanted it for.
Now, you want a tangerine. You open the box. My, there's no tangerine. Oh, well. You close the box. You don't care what or how many are there. There's no tangerine.
All in all, the glamour log system have zero reason to be used unless...you actually use it. When you open inventory, when you obtain item, when you sell item, when you move to another zone...None of these situations should ever even care whether there IS any glamour log in the first place, let alone what is in it. Why?! What SHOULD care, is the glamour log itself. If you open it, it should show you page 1 for, lets say, hats. At that point the game would make a call to the server to get information on what is in that page 1 for hats. Nothing more. It doesn't care about page 2, it doesn't care about page 1 for other items. Why?! Once you find the item you want, you close the log. And voila. Want to be even more efficient?! Make it not turn on while on any page. If you want pants, you won't have to see the page 1 hats in the first place. And if you know what you're looking for, you can just use the search button, and that will not even show you anything but the one item you want. For those that don't know what they're looking for, or are mixing and matching, make the content of the log that was already loaded be placed in the computers RAM memory, so that every page is loaded only once every time the log is opened (unless there is not enough RAM). Of course, only the icons and the names, with "try on" function still calling out to the server.
Of course, the other time the log would be accessed would be when you actually put stuff in it (probably one time only for every item). But that is actually even less data. You right-click on an item, choose "add to log", then the server checks whether you have that one specific item in log and either returns "Item present. Cannot add." or "Item added to log.". No need to load anything from the log at all.
Why do people always try to make such simple things into some convoluted nightmares is beyond me...Things should be loaded as used. When you open inventory, nothing but the icons should be called. The tooltips should be called when you hover over the items (as they are few kilobytes in weight at most, it would still be almost instantaneous, and using RAM to store them for the length of the inventory being open would make browsing the inventory hardly an issue). But instead, everything, even completely unrelated things, are being downloaded and uploaded constantly for who-knows-what reason. It's stupid. It's convoluted. It's wasteful. It's lag-making and server-breaking. And it gives absolutely nothing.
