In regards to this:
"When 40 or more interactive furnishings are near a character, only the 40 closest furnishings will be displayed."
I recently must've hit the limit and items started to disappear right at the entrance after I enter the house and along the back wall and enclosure above the stairs. I have a large house and I can say that there weren't 40 interactives "near a character" when these started to disappear.
On the ground floor and including the stairs area I counted 17 interactive furnishings and yet some that would be immediately visible were gone right when I entered. When I go upstairs on the right side room I had 6 interactives, and on the left side upstairs room I had 5 interactives. Considering I was on the ground floor and these items weren't "visible", it would seem odd to count those as near a character but that's still only 28 if we consider the entire ground floor + second floor together.
Now on the basement floor I do have 17 interactive furnishings as well. The thing is, none of these would be visible from the entrance unlike the others above. This puts me at 45 total at the time. So clearly the issue mentioned above would start to happen. My problem with it is that it is not counting just "near a character", it is counting the entire house automatically it seems.
I'm not sure how the "bubble" of what is near the character works but maybe it could be adjusted? Cause the above scenario makes little sense for why those things would disappear when floor to floor it shouldn't be counting all 45 at once.
Alternatively, can we get an option to remove the interactive nature of certain objects? Say for example all the food items/crafting stations. I personally don't care about the food buffs themselves but it's nice having the aesthetics of food on tables and such.
So maybe if there was an option when crafting, either a toggle like say how "Collectable Synthesis" is a separate option this would give the user the choice of removing the buffs to remove the interactive nature of them and strictly use them as a furnishing. It would provide ample warning to the user as well so there's no excuse and fault on their side.
Or possibly give us an option within the item menu itself, when you press square on the item it can give the choice in much the same way you would use "Lower Quality".
This could possibly alleviate the problem for some people. It is very nice having a limit of 400 furnishings that I'm not even close to touching, but now I feel limited in what I can do when I haven't even hit 250 furnishings cause of this interactive furnishing limit. And just to be clear, all the interactive furnishings I've been using have been unique, so it isn't like I'm doing some crazy shenanigans with 45 stuffed dogs or something. They've put all these unique things in-game yet we can't seem to even use them all.
