Looking for inside info on Balmung?

Hey, with the new patch coming out and Balmung being re-opened (I think?) I wanted to get some info from any Balmung players on FCs, economy, housing, general feel of Balmung? I hear it's really RP heavy and myself and my friends are more interested in the gameplay side of things. Would we be better to stay in Gilgamesh or get the transfer?

If you are into RP it's not a problem as long as you don't mind being surrounded by it. It's not limited to towns here so just keep that in mind. The marketplace is good because we have a ton of crafters competing for sales. Housing will be a nightmare because everyone wants one to RP in. Even people who don't have an "in character" reason to have a house will still nab one and make it a bar or cafe for the RP community to use. Even with the 1 FC, 1 personal rule I don't see that leaving much of a chance with so much demand because of the RP demand.

Every hardcore raider I know went to Gilgamesh if that helps your decision at all. With cross server party it doesn't matter as much but I assume you guys have more game content oriented FCs and way less RP FCs.

There are fcs on balmung though that cater to all sorts of players as well. the economy here is good enough so that the prices are lower so we don't have to deal a lot with inflation. Though i'd say it all depends on what your looking for. the housing market it better with the release of the new patch and stuff though im sure the personal housing market will be a little hard to deal with with the amount of people wanting to grab those freed up houses ya know. Though if you do end up on deciding to come to balmung i know of a few good fcs to look into including mine that both own a large house and are good to their people.
