Balmung re-opened

I don't understand why so many people want to transfer them, as if its their goal in life or something...

We all know it's a dumpster fire waiting to happen. People that transferred out, will be tempted to transfer back in. People that weren't on Balmung (and that don't already hate the server) will be tempted to transfer in. RPers overall will be tempted to transfer back in. It'll be one glorious mess that I don't see any resolution unless the community realizes that RP doesn't revolve around Balmung. The server inherited that "biggest server" status that'll last through the entire game's life span. I know it might not be the most populated server right now, but many still think Balmung is the place to be at and as long as people think that way, the server is only a hindrance.

Its because Balmung is the most active server. Its crowded at all times, which is a positive thing for many people.

You should all welcome back the RMT's lol. Because opening the servers will mean that those little buggers will infest your servers again, just like they are the current pest of opened worlds.

I'm annoyed Balmung is being opened along with personal housing unlock but all and all, I welcome it. There are a ton of players here with no interest in RP but like being on a server with 24 hour bustling activity. Many moons ago I started on a smaller server and it may as well be a single player game with an outrageously expensive market board.

Its because Balmung is the most active server. Its crowded at all times, which is a positive thing for many people.

There's also the side effect of having no/few bots. If it weren't for other people complaining about them, I'd have forgotten they exist at all.

I honestly dont see many on Mateus, you get a few yell/say users near aetherytes in limsa and gridania occasionally, but i havent even seen that in the last couple weeks.

Everything I've read says it's a bad idea to go there, anyway. Long 24/7 queues to log in, impossible to make money on the marketboard, impossible to find housing, etc.

Long queues? Maybe around content patches. Impossible to make money? Wrong unless your definition of making money differs from mine.
