Balmung re-opened

So... apparently Balmung was only re-opened to character transfers, not new characters. Doesn't that just facilitate the original problem?

I made alts around 3am pst no problem. Havent tried since. Was just saving names for when I move a couple of real alts back to help my main that has already been there for over a year

I'm just happy I got an alt there this morning to play with friends. Have to wait til friday to buy the pots for her tho. But she's there, living life like it's golden. - I need to find that song >.> -

Please understand, however, that should we determine certain Worlds are receiving a disproportionate influx of new characters via transfer or creation, we may have no choice but to designate them Congested Worlds and implement restrictions.

So unless they changed their minds, that sucks.

Well, it "is" technically opened up for new characters as well. But the regular congestion restriction during high activity periods still applies and in the case of Balmung, that's kinda the same as if making new characters was prohibited entirely.

Maybe you can get in a few seconds after a maintenance. But not when said maintenance contains housing, lol.

Chara creation was locked by the time I got home from work I can transfer but that cash. I'll try again tomorrow as I'm home sick - the one good thing about being in an off timezone lmao. If not I'll probably transfer, better do that before they lock THAT too

Just came back from almost a year and half break to find Lamia very slow. I have debated on switching today. Only thing I fear is levels being to low since I enjoy crafting and such already have gil built up and such. Just looking for an active server and active auction board to keep crafting fun

Your hard-earned gil is worth way more on Balmung than any other server. That being said if you're looking to increase that on Balmung it won't be nearly as easy. The value of gil is much, much higher there. Not impossible, just more time and work. Still, if active is what you are looking for... well. I almost remember the days you could make a character on Balmung at any time of day. Almost.

So if you're aiming to make an alt you're going to have to get on at a super odd time. Like...5 AM EST or something like that.
