They probably did something different like set something up and are testing this new idea. So it's gonna be interesting to see what happens. Good luck to them and even if it doesn't work, hopefully they have a much better idea on what to do next.

Honestly sucks that people got separated from their friends, but they accepted the server transfer offer and got the perks. Knowing full well they would not be able to return for an undetermined amount of time.
Hopefully Aether can handle the insanity of all the people flooding back to Balmung. I just hope Coeurl doesn't turn into a ghost town... it's nice having all the people running around and being friendly.

I hope it'll last enough for my friends to be able to make alts, haha. I understand that many people have friends in Balmung who want to play together, though that's also why I think it won't last much open.

Two seconds before it gets jammed. There will be a flood of people trying to make alts or transfer toons. The entrance to Balmung is like a very tiny pipe and all the people trying to get in...are giant sponges soaked with water.
We all know it's a dumpster fire waiting to happen. People that transferred out, will be tempted to transfer back in. People that weren't on Balmung (and that don't already hate the server) will be tempted to transfer in. RPers overall will be tempted to transfer back in. It'll be one glorious mess that I don't see any resolution unless the community realizes that RP doesn't revolve around Balmung. The server inherited that "biggest server" status that'll last through the entire game's life span. I know it might not be the most populated server right now, but many still think Balmung is the place to be at and as long as people think that way, the server is only a hindrance.
Its because Balmung is the most active server. Its crowded at all times, which is a positive thing for many people. We all know it's a dumpster fire waiting to happen. I honestly dont see many on Mateus, you get a few yell/say users near aetherytes in limsa and gridania occasionally, but i havent even seen that in the last couple weeks.

I give it 30 minutes

I thought other servers were getting RP communities. Why go back to a crowded server? If everyone keeps going back, it will continue to have issues. If people keep their characters on other servers, then we can keep a more even distribution. That would help out everyone playing in the Americas.
Most people do not have an issue with RP on Coeurl. I've only seen one instance of ERP on Coeurl at Wolves Den (I think we were preferred at that point). Why they chose to do their thing around PvPers is beyond me. Every other time I have seen RP, they were decent and friendly. People are only going to have a problem with open ERP and tells. Regular RP is usually meet with limited curiosity (simply to understand) or indifference on Coeurl. We have a small RP community that does want to grow. The server itself is about crafting, glamour, and a little bit pvp (which allows us to craft more and get more glamour).
