I have attempted playing by plugging in the wireless controller with a wired cable and the problem persisted. I also played wired without the wireless dongle plugged in, and the problem persisted. I do not believe my wireless controller is the problem in this case, Einmimiria. Do you have any other suggestions I can try?

I've been playing with the device manager open, but I've yet to notice any particular device disappearing and re-appearing as I play, although it most definitely flickers when the unresponsiveness starts. The bug happens so quickly and I'm usually /playing/ that I don't have time to notice what is missing. So far I've uncovered no particular way to logging what devices may be adding or removing themselves.

Thank you Kythil for the suggestion regarding "Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator". I've seen that suggestion before, and I'm at a point where I'm willing to try it, or willing to try just disabling random non-important devices in the hopes one of them is the offender. The testing of this is frustrating since the appearance of the bug is so random that I can't be sure it is fixed without extended play-time sessions, which I don't always have.

When I have the time and I have the energy to overcome my frustration, I'll submit a full bug report via the forums using their template so the issue won't be summarily ignored like last time. I feel like this cat and mouse game of me trying to figure out what device I need to disable is not the root problem but that FF14's software should be able to handle the notifications of devices being added/removed without lagging the current device.
