    They are thinking of creating a new job unique to ffxiv so lets give them some ideas!

    Infernal Knight: A knight who invokes other-worldly spirits for enhanced power.

    Role: Dps or Tank

    Weapon: dual maces or Flail/shield

    Armor: Medium Armor or Heavy Armor

    Skill set: polymorph's into other-worldly spirits assuming their form. Explosive charge attacks(kind of like a charge with a magical explosion), melee combos, damage spike auroras (retributive damage), some magic spells.

    Spirit Shaman: A shaman that calls upon the spirits of animals and nature to attack and heal.

    Role: Healer

    Weapon: war-hammer or pole

    Armor: Medium armor

    Skill set: Invokes the wrath of nature and animals to deliver crushing blows, enhance armor. Melee combos that trigger healing and party wide heals. Uses totems for pulsing aoe heals and aoe damage.

    If they wanted to make a unique job, not seen in prior FFs, then I doubt they would turn to players for ideas, as it sounds like they want to have the fun in creating it.
    If anything, give them ideas on "classic" jobs for which you want them to work on next.

    I thought they said recently that they wanted to keep giving classic jobs rather than unique never before seen ones, which is a shame to be honest.

    I would like to see them add a pet job for melee dps (puppetmaster?) and tank. Then every role in the game would have a pet variant.

    Though most "Pet Tank" idea seem to be "Have the pet tank", and as much as I'd like to see that, honestly think the pet would have to act as support to the player tanking instead, due to a lot of the limitations.

    Probably something like the BST doesnt have tank stances, but instead, the pet toggles between doing dmg, or putting a tether on the tank to heal them and raise their enmity.
    (And for invuln, maybe have the pet equal you in threat, and then stay ahead of you in hate, taking 75% less dmg until dead, unable to be healed, and reseting their summon action.)

    Ok, how about a guy that plays an underwater sport and he uses the object of contention in that sport as a weapon. Maybe a bit too far fetched.

    It's going to be hard to come up with something that has not already been done.

    In an old 1.0 document, there was a listing for a whip-using job/class concept. I would very much like to see that made a reality, with a whip/bladed whip concept for weapons.

    Hoplite job would be kinda interesting, especially since it'd probably be the first tank job with a story fully focused on both the role of defending, but also the importance of fighting as a team. Not as sure on the element of counterattack gameplay since that tends not to work so well in other games, but I'm sure the job dev team could pull something off on that.

    As for the "we need more tanks/healers" argument, that's something to be careful with since that actual argument is going to go on until the end of time. That being said though, we do need more tank and healer options right now (which might've been what you meant anyway xD), so it is something that we the players need to distinguish.
