They are thinking of creating a new job unique to ffxiv so lets give them some ideas!

We haven't had a garlean style Magitek job. I want a tank or healer that actually uses garlean style weapons and armor for it's job specific gear.

I would like to play a orb or 1-handed stave job that uses malicious-laden magic to deal dmg. I specify this cuz I when someone says "i wanna use dark magic", someone goes "we already have it, its called drk" >.>

The lore or origin story or whatever you wanna call it to give an excuse for the job to come to fruition is that you've basically made a deal with some creature from the most nefarious of hell's circle to use light-stealing, unholy magic to bring about untold misery, misfortune and death upon your enemies. By day, you're the warrior of light. By night, you dish disproportionate retribution as a deterrent. Your abilities include temporarily reanimating the dead, using your party's spilled blood as an attack, casting black an assortment of black orbs (from tiny ones to maybe a singular big one), using hexes on monsters so they attack other monsters and temporarily holding on to a limited amount of souls to either restore vitality, debuff your target or straight up damage them.

I'd like a DPS that channels their inner darkness to strengthen their attacks (perhaps sacrificing HP in some way to do so)

Oughtn't that to depend entirely on the lore and themes of the expansion the job will be introduced in? Without knowing that, what proper ideas could anyone give?

Not to say that we can't come up with stuff conditionally, but we're far from afforded vital information, and by the time we are, the new jobs will likely already be cemented.

Chocobo knight- Dps role... uses a one handed mace and buckler... melee class but can also use choco cure, chocometeor, Choco surge...

Can they add Garlean Sympathizer? I'd gladly give up the echo and ability to use magic in exchange for Magitek armor / weapons and a cool theme song.

How about a tank that dual wields shields.
Like for aoe agro spell he could bang the shields together like a taunt similar to flash.
And for aoe damage he uses all his might to smash them together and create a shockwave.
Combo rotations involved attacking with one shield and then the other and for finish combo stroke with both shields at once.
And as an equivelant to holmgang hallowed ground etc he could have a buff where he reflects 100% of all incoming damage back to attackers for 5 seconds.
Could also give him some kind of bar similar to red mage which is based on left and right shield attacks.
