Countingsheep Community Day: The Flock is Happy to Help!



Hi there, adventurers of Fabul,

My name is Kaliska Rhele and I'm here to tell you about an event that my linkshell - Countingsheep - will be hosting. If you don't have a linkshell, or are part of a small social shell that doesn't complete content, we would like to offer the chance to clear some of the content that you might not normally be able to clear. We're here to help!

What are we willing to do?

We are willing to do anything! Can't get an Ifrit win? Want to trounce some Moogles? Still need to complete Darkhold? Still missing some roaming NMs? Need a hand getting some coffer keys? We'll even do some crafting for you if that's what you want. Now do please keep in mind this isn't about getting a drop as much as getting the win on content that you haven't managed to get yet - any drops you might get are an added bonus.

What's the catch?

No catch. All we want to do is to give a little back to the Fabul community and help out others who might need it! You don't need to give us anything.

So when will this happen?

We have set up a date; 4th Feb 2012 at 8PM GMT / 3EST. If you are chosen, you'll need to be available then. We'll contact you before hand to let you know exactly when we'll be coming to you, as some things will take longer than others, depending on what we are doing. But please bear in mind that you might not be first on the list, so it could be a couple of hours till we get to you, but we will get to you.

I want help! What do I do?

All you have to do is visit this thread on our website and post a little bit about yourself, including your character name, why we should help you and what content you would like our help to complete. We will let our members vote on who they would like to help and we will get in contact with you and arrange to get it done for you. Applications will close on the 27th Jan, our members will then vote on them and the winning applicants will be contacted by the 1st Feb.

So that's it. If you think you would like our help, then you really have nothing to lose by dropping by our site and posting!

How is going on your PUBLIC channel spamming and saying "hey if you guys need help check this post".

If you don't want people posting on your PUBLIC section of your site then don't have it public. Whats ironic is my spamming basically consisted of "if you guys need any help let us know" as we're trying to do a public service to help others.

Funny, because it looks like your reciting.. I find it distasteful to recruit on other peoples sites but hea if you think thats ok I can start recruiting on your forums.. right?

No I wouldn't do that, and it's fine.. I have nothing against you guys and good luck with your event. I just found your methods distasteful. Our members may yet indeed join your event as they are free to do so if they choose to.

If it was whats above then in no way shape or form does it even menchion nor try to recruit!

So would you be kind enough to point out where i have miss read?????? if i did, so they can change it

Also since its in a public forum not a members forum i also dont see the probliem to offer help if needed or wanted. i do understand tho if you dont want any menchion of other LS on your site so you should have it pointed out in your rules! Or alternativly you could put any other LS please contact your leader before posting

Feel free to delete the post if you don't like it. I hope that if some of your members do join our event, it won't result in any adverse consequences for them. We like helping people and will do so any day of the week and I hope your LS will be just as helpful. It would be nice if more Linkshells helped out.
