I would like to see something new and unique to FFXIV, something never seen before in other FF games.
Saying that Gunblade and Dancer also sound fun!

A BLU that can enter on Duty Finder and end-game content.
Wow, this thread is... something else. It really makes me want to rant about so many things.
Ok for the thread title....
Limited Beastmaster, making use of crossbows and traps (from ranger) and Monster Arena from FFX-2!
Gambler. No RNG needed, just give me flying cards, dice, and psychic powers. (Go go laser eyes!)
Gun Mage // Songstress Tank: Uses megaphone guns to amplify songs. If you couldn't tell, I like FFX-2.
Sword Saint DPS: to form a holy, holy trinity with PLD and WHM.
Finally a chemist, that uses the Steal Command to grab ingredients for the Mix Command. Weapon: Hand Bombs, coolest and most useless thing about FFXII.
Too many pages to go through to see if I've already posted these...
Augurer - Think a mix between a more fitting Thaumaturge (because our Thaumaturges no longer have anything whatsoever to do with Thaumaturgy, wasting the entirety of the uniquely dark spin they had before) and a trope-heavy Plague Doctor (like, the kind who both deals with... and unleashes plagues to form his own zombie armies on which he experiments--along with still-living people--to find the perfect specimen to inherit the earth or let him rule over it). Kind-of-sort-of a healer. If Savage dungeons were a thing, however, you wouldn't depend solely on him, but instead consider him as a Heal-heavy hybrid.
Beastmaster - Goes through 4 different pets (Bear, Wolf, Panther, and Eagle) in the course of leveling, eventually sacrificing their aetherized memory in order to create a spirit beast who can shift forms between them at will. Choice of pet gives access to their aspect, progressively changing your skills to be more like theirs. Pet swaps are flexible and decently frequent in optimal play, made at timings that best sync the effects of your skills to synergize with what your pet will be doing at that time, which can add up to more than just highest possible direct damage. The Beastmaster and pet have notable utility, and the combination of their skills can do a fair job of tanking, an excellent job of tank-supportive or sabotage-based rDPS, and deal serious damage, though not all at the same time.
Thief - Shares roots with Ninja. Ninja loses Mug. Both get deeper stealth mechanics. Similar to BLU, it chooses what it brings into combat, notably which consumable items, each with synergetic effects on THF gameplay. Mug, looting enemies, and opening treasure chests grants mob- or locale-dependent THF consumables. THF is all about the synergies between items and rotation, item-affected rotation to base rotation and vice versa, and items with items. Its rotation is therefore far more... varied that that of most DPS jobs, and it is only marginally a melee; it makes use of Throwing Daggers, a Crossbow, and whatever else it can get its hands on. Like Ninja, it excels in distraction and collusion, but in very different ways, while its nuke damage is more likely to involve a combo of mid-combat-scavanged tech than any high-APM burst of oGCDs during the burst itself. Its spot-utility is unsurpassed, even if not as universally tDPS (rDPS provided - rDPS recieved + pDPS) efficient as Ninja. Capable of tank support, CC, healer support, healing, anti-healing, immense interrupt frequency, moving self rapidly, moving others rapidly, reeling enemies in or keeping them afar; it is a jack of all trades, one massively oversized bundle of tricks.
A Dragon Knight, dual swords with a dragon friend who acts as support fire. No precedence in Final Fantasy history, but could work as a new Ishgardian job based around their new friendship with the dragons.
Avatar. A summoner that focuses on the other unused Primals and features more of a focus on them and less of a focus on the summoner and a three tiered damage system.
Pirate. Dual pistols, ala Merlwyb.
Holy Knight. C'mon, Agrias was awesome.
Well I assume we are getting the Dancer and Gunblade tank next expansion...
But past that what I really want to see while I am typing and drinking:
Chemist/Physician/Chirurgeon /Medic- A lot of people have suggested it and I want it too. It would be a nice change of pace from the aesthetics we currently have for Healers and it would be nice to have some sort of combo system for a healer. Not much more to say about it I suppose.
Shaman- Best idea I could think of at the moment for a magic tank. Wearing a skull for a hat, draped in furs, club for a weapon and channeling the power of spirits of ancestors and beasts. It would be fun if part of it's quests involved learning spells from the various allied Beast tribes.
Beastmaster-IDK if it should be DPS or Tank. Whip as a weapon and your beast draws aggro. I think the best thing to do for a Beastmaster to keep it out of Limited Job Hell would to have about 3-4 skill sets that all beasts share. So you have several different categories and all the beasts in that category or functionally the same but visually different, that way you can still go around playing Pokemon but they wouldn't have to balance 20+ different move sets or making it a Limited Job.
Assassin/Sniper- Just another ranged DPS class. Was just thinking of the Viera classes of the same names from Tactics A2 and with Vieras(probably) coming thought it would be fun. Basically have a big crossbow(to distinguish it from Bard) with the hat, cloak, and face covering. More of a dark ranged DPS with a lot of fun status effects.
Pirate/Corsair- I kind of want to just see a melee in one hand and gun in the other class. Not sure exactly what role it would be. Could be melee dps or ranged dps both would fit.
If Square Enix can make a Sword/Gun(or high tech crossbow) Job character for a fake game then they can make it for FF14 as well if they put effort into it...

if we can have Chemist to be the next healer would be cool, maybe have it do something we the in-game potion to heal instead of magic.
There are plenty of jobs in ffx2 they could use....
Who am I kidding, I'd just love to get all the outfits...
Those ribbon sleves on the Thief Dressphere are so cute.
Current wants for future jobs in game now?
Healers: Chemist (Healer LB can be flipping a table covered with bottles :P), Mascot (I want a healer that equips a doll as a weapon and doesn't look out of place wearing costumes. Also... more costumes like Cait Sith and Tonberry)
Other stuff:
Gambler (Ranged DPS, RNG based abilities, Thrown cards for slashing damage)
Catmancer (I liked this in Bravely Second)
Desperado (Making up a name for a job that would use 2 pistols)
Templar (Tank that uses tower shields and 1 handed pikes)
Ravager (Heavy Melee DPS using warscythe, FFTA2 gave this job greatswords but DRK is on that already)
Sword Sage (Melee INT magic damage class using blades of raw aether)
Things I would put as limited jobs atm because I'm not sure how they could be implemented or properly balanced at time of this post.
Beastmaster (I'd go the instrument route for a weapon they used in FFTA2)
Puppetmaster (Customizable minions you build yourself)
Mog Knight
Chocobo Knight
Onion Knight
Mimic
