Pretty much. I work overnights and the server comes back up at around 5 am my time, when I'm still 3-4 hours away from getting out. If I don't know a couple weeks ahead of time to request the day off, I'm screwed.

The only "fair" way is to make the housing stock separated into 24 batches and released every 1h in small chunks. But then again, those that have the time off and really care will have 24 chances, while the average folk will have only 3-4 at most.
Ultimately it's a game. A hobby at most. Treat it like any other hobby and do only that which your real life commitments allow.


It was 5:00 in the morning for me. Not everyone lives in the same time zone.


Whenever they decide to lift the dumb restriction, it better be the same time as always when they do regular maintenance. I already set my days off around the day Patches go live. Not only that, it's easier for others to plan ahead because they know exactly when to prepare.



It's done in those time slots as it's the middle of a work day in JP. Patch prep is likely done on Monday, the patch launching Tuesday morning, with a lityle time to spar to make sure it lands.
It's just that we're on the opposite side of the planet.
