Finished ARR Main Quest - Good job S.E.

I started playing a few weeks ago and just finished the base game main quest.

At first I thought the story was very bland and cliche. By the end, it was really good - engrossing and mature. It showed the consequences of being overzealous in chasing after an ideal. Great twists in the ending. Good work to the writers/devs/actors. Looking forward to finishing the next two chapters.

I finished it last night and I was mightily impressed. The most memorable part for me was the trial on the Ishgard bridge. (Ummm...this wall behind me is getting awfully close.. ) As well, the last 2-3 quests had me running the gamut of emotions from start to finish.

In the aftermath, I also started the Dark Knight job quest line....All I have to say on that one so far is "Wow!"

I think a lot of players expect epic from the start, without realizing what a lowly scrub you start out as. Once you've proven yourself with a few primals, then folks/NPCs start taking you seriously.
