ASTROLOGIAN CARD OVERLAY IN AN MMO
The following is not an addon in ANY way, and in no way interacts with FFXIV or SQUARE ENIX's code. It simply runs over the top of the game.

The program I use for Streaming is called XSPLIT. It has a paid version (Which I use) all the normal player needs is the Free Version of the application.

I have revised Free instructions below for SNIPASTE, another FREE tool to do the same, as XSPLIT apparently included the image overlay feature as a paid one.



(Designed for Twitch) Once installed, when you're in the game you're playing, if you hit CTRL-TAB it opens the overlay, much like Steam.


(Yes, I created it from scratch to match the game)

One of the buttons in the overlay adds a stream image. (The One Above For Example) Normally, this makes a Logo for your channel appear during the streaming. You can toggle 'Appears to gamer' in the settings for the image.

Easy, Free, and in no way harming XIV.

And hey, if you happen to stream yourself playing our favorite MMORPG, then GREAT!!

This overlay is really great and nice to look at.

Just one thing about the cards. Ewer and Spire are MP and TP regens now, and Spear increase critical rate.

I added this one as well, which, if the bar doesn't suit you, fits nicely over the Card GUI native to the game, and might be more useful for the minimalist.

That's really nice honestly.
Cause, I remember when I first tried Astrologian... I had my skill windows opened to always check cards effect. It took some place on my screen, wasn't really comfortable.

This is awesome! X_X I struggle as AST because I can't remember what each card does yet without checking tooltips, you are a life saver.

Apparently XSPLIT isn't free. SO! Here's a free alternative. Fortunately, I'm including instructions to help you get it set up.
[INDENT]The Program is called SNIPASTE.

To get it set up:

1. Download it.
2. Put the folder in your Applications Folder or in the C: Drive folder.
3. Run the Executable.
4. Download the Image from above (Either one you want to use)
5. Click the System Tray Icon for SNIPASTE
6. (This brings up the clip tool)
7. Take a random clipping of anything on your screen.
8. Click the Little Pin Icon (To Pin it to your screen)
9. Right click the Clipping and choose 'Replace By File'
10. Choose the image you downloaded from above.
11. Now, Put XIV into Borderless Window Mode
12. Drag the image to the size and placement you want it.
13. Right click on it and choose 'Shadow' to toggle the edge off.
14. Right click on the tray icon and choose 'Toggle Mouse Click Through'.

Now, whenever this little program is running it will show the image on the screen. I hope that helps for anyone who doesn't have the XSPLIT monthly sub (which is apparently required for changing their logo on the display)

Also, I am FULLY aware that for some, memorizing every skill in XIV is quite easy. I'm afraid that for others, like myself, this is a CHALLENGING undertaking. I appreciate the positive feedback for this 'Training Tool' to help all Astrologians reach Elegant Casting.

Looks like a nice too, but you made a small, but grave mistake: The Spire is enhanced 50% AOE, while the Arrow should be double duration.
