Not sure if this was mentioned before but here goes...

So... someone was very creative on Siren and made a Loft. i'm sure plenty of people on other servers did similar things, but I thought it was pretty cool. I'll see if I can get a screenshot, but for those on Siren it should be Ward 13 Plot 8/38; don't remember if its a subdivision or not. The main issue with what they did though was it used A LOT of housing items to achieve. great effect but at the cost of a fully furnished house.

Anyways, this got a lot of us thinking maybe SE can add actual housing items to make a loft. Wall hanging flooring, pillars, and stairways; they could even make ones for outside too, but that might cause issue compared to inside.

So what does everyone think, does this sound like a cool idea? It would basically double your space in certain areas, XD

While I really love what she did here. I think it's definitely worth noting to people that she used all 200 slots in her small house to create this look on just her top floor. (She has a bathroom in the stairwell that blocks the use of the stairs and the basement.) That definitely is not meant to take away from how amazing this is or how you could do something similar and just not have so much here so that you could have the loft plus stuff in the basement.

That's so cute! What did you use for the loft flooring? I made mine with the zabuton cushions, I've heard about the box shelves, but that looks like one of the stages? I wasn't aware those could be floated!

It's the Troupe Stage, which is what was used in the screenshot Settiesama posted. They are much more difficult to float, but you do end up using a lot less item slots. These can only be placed above permanent house fixtures.

It's a very hard to accomplish glitch, it involves placing items from storage in your house. It was much easier before they patched the UI glitch in 4.2. Basically you have to "place" the stage on the top of a window, door, or railing. You need to be in first person. I'll try to find a link to the post and edit this with that unless someone else posts it before I find it.
