Third Eye should have a significant damage reduction tied to it. Something absurd like 30, maybe even 50%. It's a small window for a single hit.I see people saying Seigan should have a higher potency etc.
But personally I think what would be more interesting is if it cost nothing and was a 'counter' attack type of move. So Merciful Eyes and Seigan would have the same 15 second CD, activated immediately once you block the damage, you just picked which one you wanted prior to taking the hit. Could then apply different guard % to each one separately, so Seigan prevents less damage, and Mercy Eyes prevents more.
The Samurai's unique feature could simply be that -it doesn't !@#%ing die- when something looks at them the wrong way.

Apparently meh PVP buff changes were more important than what peeps outside of PVP wanted cause #sethinkseveryonedoespvp
Least give Sam some potency buffs.
You guys have to understand that making a potency buff is really hard. You've to open all that code, find the number of the skill then change it. Really hard.
SE is waiting for more player to move and stick with mnk ... and letting mnk have its moment to shine / be in the spotlight
(mnk was probably the least used meele in SB)
when sam gets buffed, it will make a few if not a lot go (back) on sam
(even if in Pfs mnk will be more desirable than sam.. just like smn is still more desirable than blm)

They talked a bit about the Samurai buffs, sounds like what we expected and hopefully they are strong enough. They're getting potency buffs on both combo attacks and abilities, as well as an enmity control added to one of their existing abilities (Hagakure, perhaps?). I think they said like 8 abilities are getting directly buffed, and there may be more adjustments as well.

Threat reduction makes more sense on Yaten, as it's a disengage.

Putting it on Hagakure might as well remove threat from the Samurai, because they use it on cooldown.
Agreed. It's used close enough to on CD that it'd be a passive modifier in effect.
Personally, I think it should be something that forces a small sacrifice of DPS on the Samurai or tank's part if no Ninja is there to cover the threat accumulation. For instance... Merciful Eyes.
Yaten would be my second choice only because I don't like for rotational elements to mess with Samurai's movement skills, and I'd hate for it to become something that would, in such content as PotD or the new Jenga Tower, remove its last vestige of kiting ability. Ideally, I'd like it to be a combination of flat and scalar enmity decrease.

There's already little enough reason to bother with Seigan, though who knows, that might change.
