Have they ever said why they dont have one yet?
I queued up for Alex 1 normal and had to afk for an hour and came back up to see this.
This is on an alt so it should have first time priority bonus.

Most people can't clear coils on unsync in pf I'd hate to see them try synced with df randoms.

Just because they had a higher degree of difficulty compared to more recent raids, they're still normal raids. Hard, yes, but they have normal mode and savage mode just like the other standard raids.
Coil was actually the ‘Savage’ content in ARR; Second Coil Savage was kind of like a beta-version of Ultimate, in which it was tuned higher than the ‘non-Savage’ named version, which was considered the 8-man Savage content at the time. Second Coil Savage was how the developers originally wanted the fight to be tuned. There was no ‘normal-mode’ 8-mans in ARR, hence the future division of normal and Savage. It was made because so many people missed out on the Coil story because it wasn’t a casual, “normal-mode” raid like Alexander Normal or Deltascape/Sigmascape Normal, and not everyone had the ability/time/group to do the content.
Again, Second Coil (Savage) is how the developers originally wanted the fight to be tuned—a beta-version Ultimate or a “Savage-mode Savage”, if you will. But Binding Coil and Final Coil had no Binding Coil (Savage)-/Final Coil (Savage)-named equivalents because they were the Savage raids during their respective tiers.
That being said, they really should implement an 8-man normal mode raid roulette. It won’t include Coil, but it would be great for filling up queues for newbies, as well as give us another daily roulette option for acquiring tomestones. I’m not opposed to more variety.

It took them years to actually add in Raid Roulette, so... give it time, I suppose. They've definitely mentioned it at least once before.
Realistically I suspect that they originally expected Mentor Roulette would take care of this, alliance raids, EX Primals, etc. but then they went and forgot to give mentors proper incentive to actually queue for the thing beyond the ridiculous mount.
Edit: Calling Coil "normal raids" is disingenuous as all hell.![]()

Why would I bother doing it?
I mean, I already ignore 50/60, leveling, main scenario (did before the change, too) alliance, and level 70. They've run out of ways to bribe people to do things. I don't need creation nor poetics, and I don't even care for zhloe at this point. They needed to have a relic that used tomes in order to get us to help out; they were incompetent and delayed it too long.
Well to me it'd be just like Trial roulette, which I gladly enjoy doing. Instead of going through a dungeon, you're just doing maybe a few trash mobs then 1 battle with a boss. Sounds like a good roulette to me. Coil might have to be excluded though, since the "Normal" version is technically "Savage" and that'd turn a lot of people off I'm sure. Even if coil was in, I wouldn't mind it though. :PWhy would I bother doing it?
