I just encounter probably the most "snobby" healer in this game, pls dont be like him

I mean, I've once seen a healer with such a macro but it was more on line of (I'm new to healing, plz dont do huge pull as I am too experienced. Don't expect me to dps too much Im still new to the job etc etc)
Which was actually a proper warning, like "don't play dumb I'm not a good healer"

I hate this warning lol.

It's like a polite way of saying:
I offer 0 reliable healing, but if we wipe it's the tank's fault.

I'd much rather have a healing commitment such as:
"I'm new to healing, but you can count on me to at least spam cure II"
^ I can get work done with that.

Or, "I'm new to healing, but I'll do my best!" That way if things do go sideways, the crew at least knows you are new.

A healer shouldn't dictate how the dungeon should run.
It is the tank's job to evaluate how good the group is, at what pace the run can be done.

When I tank, the first pack is my gateway to making a judgement call. If the healing or DPS is slack, I can tweak from there. It also allows me to gauge my own tankiness vs the previous points. From there, yes, it's generally up to me what to pull, but I don't assume I'm the big-bad-authority figure right out of the gate when I'm tanking. As long as it's a sum of all parts, everyone can influence the run.

wow.. haven't encountered this type of player.. rather, i haven't thought that this kind of player exists.. perhaps i'm still too naive? or maybe it's just that the peeps in Louisoix server are generally nice and polite? i don't know

as a healer, and player in general, I don't talk much..just 3 times mostly..

Wow this is like a reverse healer horror story...one of the key parts of being a healer is ability to adapt and do your best to keep everyone alive. Deliberately saying you will let someone die? Oh God...also if your mana is dipping below 60% and you are that worried about it perhaps they should consider using Lucid Dreaming or another conservation strategy. I main as AST and part of the fun and challenge is managing my mana properly. I think this person is in the wrong job...

Lol I had a healer who got mad at me because we wiped on the last pull of Skalla. I popped every cool down I had and even used Inner Release and spammed steel cyclone for heals. I popped Holmgang then died when it wore off. I apologized for pulling too much and the healer says “You didn’t pop any cooldowns and stood AFK in the Aoes.” I told him I did pop cooldowns and when you pop Holmgang you can’t move and he proceeds to say I’m wasting everyone’s time arguing. Like I have all healers 70 and maimed heal before I played tank like dude why would I not use cooldowns cause I know the pain in the butt healers go through when tanks don’t use cooldowns lol.
