    I agree Cleanse however,

I think this should be implemented in a combination with what Rhekshi-Ehki suggested. For it to succeed it needs elements of both. Sadly Most people skip right over doing Guilhests roulette unless they are leveling or need extra GC seals, which is to say you get more by turning in an item from a dungeon for gc seals and running PotD for exp rather than bothering with this roulette.

However at the same time since PVP success hinges solely on group coordination, I feel this is something that should be done with other players rather than AIs like Novice Hall does. PVP isn't as predictable as PVE and this should be emphasized in the learning process. This also presents another possible concern of que times since as I said before labeling it as guildhest will likely have people skip over it and Novice Hall ques aren't dependent upon other people quing up.

(sorry it wouldn't let me post over a thousand characters, but this is the rest of my thoughts on it >.<)

To fix this I think a chat system to accompany this hall like feature would help. However this would have to be done with the utmost care on SEs part! I don't think there should be a mentor/novice setup in this communication system. Mentor status has brought people into Novice Network as mentors who shouldn't be. Novice was supposed to be a good thing to help new players out, but is filled with people who only cared about getting that stupid crown next to their name (i know this isn't the case of all mentors but a lot of people did do it solely for the status). People entered into the mentor status easily and without any realistic merit system simply to get the status. If veterans and other players of the community who care about expanding it should be willing to do it because they want to not for the incentive of a reward.

Definitely backing up what's been said. I fully agree with all points made.

A criticism that wasn’t wanted, but needed. Thanks Rinny and others for putting in the time and effort in making this thread.

I agree with almost everything said in the OP. The new light medal and respawn mechanics have turned feast into a completely different game mode compared to before which, as already mentioned, feels like a chaotic brawl in one section of the map.

The introduction of the light medal buff definitely feels like a double punishment for a team that worked hard at getting a small lead. It might even be tactically more advantageous to "lose" the majority of the duration of a match and go for a comeback kill in the last 30 seconds...and it's these kind of matches that feel absolutely awful when you're on the losing team.

With the changes to respawning, I'd definitely agree that it has not encourage movement and strategic positioning. You could even argue why we even have a "Fall back!" quick chat function anymore! (I am joking, we definitely do need this quick chat - please fix the mechanic instead).

Regarding the team PvP system, I do think measures need to be taken to prevent teams from "selling" the 5/6th slots. Personal rating might not be a good representation of an individual's contribution to a PvP team - a player may play 100 games but lose a lot of them, so their player rating may be low but they have "contributed" to the team a considerable number of games. Perhaps participation could be based on number of games played within the team?

The other point about restricting time slots for team PvP might be difficult, as it might prevent some people from playing altogether due to job etc...depending on the time slots of course. BUT, I do believe that it could prevent foul play and "wintrading" from happening at ungodly hours like 4am.

Which leads me to my own input about the state of Feast..."Foul play"... this could include things like wintrading, intentional feeding, intentional AFKing, leaving a match/ragequitting, using alts to manipulate rankings, throwing etc. We all have come across at least one of this type of behaviour, but I believe it's time for SE to formally create a set list of rules about feast gameplay. This kind of behaviour is detrimental to the health of the PvP community and these problems have been around since season 1. Many of us have sent reports about certain players' behaviour and we get the standard response that the issue is taken very seriously and will be investigated, yet many of us feel that no action has been done to either punish an offending individual or to prevent such actions from happening in the future. It's actually because of this behaviour that has happened to me consistently in season 6 that I simply gave up playing feast...I even considered quitting FFXIV entirely.
