    FFXIV causes my entire PC to freeze

    Hello there,

    A few weeks ago I've bough new PC and when playing FFXIV for about 30 minutes my entire PC freezes and the only way to get it running again it to hard restart it.

    This problem only occurs when playing XIV. It never happened when playing any other game I own.

    Windows 10 Home
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700K CPU @4.20GHz
    RAM: 16.0 GB
    GPU: GeForce GTX 1070

    All drivers are up to date.

    Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    What exactly happens when your PC freezes? Do you get some sort of error message or does the game simply become unresponsive? Can you Alt+Tab out or use Ctrl+Alt+Del?

    Do you notice any pattern to it? Does it occur in a certain area or when loading? Or is it purely based on time?

    What have you tried so far to resolve it?

    I had the same issue a while back after I did an upgrade on my PC, I would try to run bench mark and match the settings, also if your on HDMI it can cause some issues try Display port if possible. If your running a firewall or anti virus program set it to sleep while playing. Sometimes that can help also. Just a tip. Hopefully your running it in 64bit operating system and not 32bit system :/
