Thank you for your input on this thread! Unfortunately we have a no definite solution to this issue at the moment. We do know that nothing is wrong with the servers. We are suggesting you contact your ISP and report this issue.
Thank you again.
@Ariellendera
I am suggesting YOU contact your ISP and report this issue. Since clearly problem is at your server's internet provider equipment.
This isn't an issue with our isp in particular - people with different ISP and different countries are reporting the same issues.
The servers might be fine as you say, but the issues are being reported since after maintenance that happened on Saturday Nov. 18 (https://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...6d34642f7e065f) so maybe the issue is from your ISP. Whatever they did on that day have been causing theses randoms packet looses that we have been complaining about.
reddit post at the time (5! months ago): https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...th_eu_servers/
Here's an example of how it affects us gameplay wise: https://streamable.com/7zl72 (we have people from France, Finland,United Arab Emirates, Belgium, and Brazil in our group and everyone have been getting thoses spikes at the same moment).
This is ridiculous. You seriously think that this many peoples' ISPs across multiple countries all suddenly started having the same issues at the same time, but it's nothing to do with SE's networking?
The issue appeared since Novemember 2017. Ever since then it never got away. Random DC's, random lag spikes. Some days are better than others but it's never really solved or got away.
There is no way all countries and ISPs across all EU having issues at the same time for the same period.
Most propably they chose to ignore the issue and hide it under the carpet while blaming the consumers and their ISPs.
Clearly all ISPs in EU decided to sabotage FFXIV.
This. I'm really disappointed with Square Enix. How hard must be to contact with the DataCenter's ISP ...

The Customers' reports are numerous, from different country, and different ISP in each country. Hard to think this is the matter.
And yes probably your servers are fine...
But, your work to find out where is the matter. the subscription is the bill to access to a clean service. I wont do a list of other possibilities outside of your servers. I respect you enough to think you know them... just move your ass...
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: [...]these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
You say there is nothing wrong with the servers yet EVERY SINGLE TIME I teleport to any housing area or enter a house or leave a house, I disconnect. I kid you not, it is every time. It's not only me either, other people on my server have had the issue as well. There has got to be something wrong here.
I'm sorry to the poor Customer Service agent who is replying to this thread. I know you are only able to pass on the information that you are given but it is simply proven by looking at this thread that the information you are being given is incorrect. I hope the players aren't giving you too much grief.
No need contacting my ISP when nothing is wrong with it.
If there would be I'd call them and it'd be fixed within minutes.
This is going on for far too long now.
I have better times playing on the NA DC even with higher ping than on the EU DC. That's not what it should be like.

For most it is definitely pathing issues to be honest, and it always seems to stem for most before any level3.net hops. As per picture. That is some serious Packet Loss on my side, which causes 90k's at the most annoying times when latency hits high along with that packet loss.

EDIT: I used the following IP addy also - 195.82.50.9 , and there is a nasty like clockwork packet loss going on the same subnet

Every single minute, that is not good.
