GPU usage is way too high for some time now!

Joegoku, by limiting the framerate, were you able to get to a "normal" GPU usage? Or does it still seem high (relative to how it was before the patch).

Well I just tried a few bits changing in the game. limiting FPS to 30 it uses the GPU at around 45%..as soon as I disable FPS limit and leave it as it was before 4.2 patch (unlimited) its goes to 99%-100%..its ridiculous. this game certainly doesn't use nowhere near 100% of my GPU. Maybe something that's much newer yes but not FF14. The only way I can play the game is limiting my frames and the gameplay is nowhere near as smooth as when its on full FPS. Can you please relay this to the tech support to look into?

Running the game on unlimited FPS was never an issue before 4.2 it all started after it landed. its super annoying.

I think SimplyJames said everything, it is still a bit high for FF XIV, I know the requirements did change a little after 4.0 released, but there no problem appeared. So yes, it is still a bit high.
