Why do people dislike Goblet?

Just as the title states, why do so many people not like the Goblet? My FC just relocated to plot 30 in the Goblet and we think it's absolutely beautiful. Beautiful warm colors, beautiful scenery, a really cool relaxation area in the middle. So what is it that people don't like? For the past 2 years I have resided in the Mist and as a person who does a lot of front yard crafting, I found the colors start to become and eye strain after a while. Shirogane is nice and all but has some of the oddest camera angles. Lavender Beds is nice but all the mansion plots kinda suck. The only nice one, I can't remember plot number, but the one off by the waterfall across the bridge would be excellent, if only that giant rock formation didn't block the view. So again what is it that people don't like about Goblet?

I, in general, hate the desert scenery, and so Thanalan in general is quite an eye sore for me. Goblet of course mirrors that.

It's "plain" when compared to the other options. While The Goblet has a great neighbohood layout, it's base features are pretty samey, and it's bad plots are the worst. You walk out the door to see stones walls or a canyon side, or nothing at all.

Lavender Beds is chock full of greenery and surrounded by the forest. Mist houses are all beach houses. Shirogane does both while adding a nice town-like center and a slew of extra hidden areas. It's just that the other areas have broader appeal.

Still my fav though, but endless stars in a desert canyon is right up my alley.

I think ideally people just tend to like scenes with greenery in general, hence the popularity of the LB and Shirogane.
The Goblet isn't terrible; I think it's just if people are given a choice, they're gonna choose a different ward over it.

Its the same reason people don't like any other area....because they just don't...to each their own.

Think of it this way - if they don't like it...means more space for everyone else.

I personally find it too bland and the color palette too much brown. Our FC had a chance to take a Large house in Goblet, but we preferred a medium in Shirogane.

I like the Goblet. I just moved there.
The inner circle is great.
The outer circle ... is not great.
And I see why people don't like it.
But the place I don't care for is Shirogane.
Too blocky for my taste.

We dont give a damn of how the areas look like, we just want the utilities and the goblet was free so we moved all our residences there.
But i like the idea of oasis, the environment in the goblet may be plain but it highlights your residence.

Poorly designed? Idk I usually love the open canyons and vast deserts but Goblet is just meh

For the longest time I thought I wanted to change my house location away from the Goblet.
Yet when I was able to move, thanks to the new implemented plots, I just couldn't imagine leaving the place.
In the end I just re-located within the ward and got closer to The Brimming Heart - and I have absolutely no regrets!
