My computer completely shuts down ONLY when playing FFXIV

Ok, I am at a loss. I can be on my comp all day long (YouTube, doing schoolwork, twitch) and no issues occur. I can playing any other game (stress tested with PUBg, SWTOR, various steam games, etc.) and no issues at all. I log into FFXIV and 90% of the time once I select my character and it goes to load into the game, the entire computer powers down instantly. The only way to get it to restart is to plug it into another outlet and/or surge protector. This has been happening for over 2 weeks now. The other 10% of the time I may get a chance to play for 15 mins or so but inevitably my computer will power down and the cycle of power outlets/strips begins. The longest I have made it seems to be about 3 hours and same thing...randomly powers down. It is not overheating CPU or GPU as that was closely monitored when it first started. The PSU is 600W and shows no sign of issues that we have noticed. The only thing in the event log is a critical with 'Kernel-Power"...mainly cause it is abruptly shutting down. My husband has a computer with the exact same parts, but he has only experienced this once in the past year and it wasn't with FFXIV. Just randomly shut down. Anyone that has advise please assist!

Can you think of anything that may have changed/updated on your PC that coincides with this? You mentioned it happened on your husbands PC once, correct? What was running when that happened?

Have you tried completely reinstalling the game? If it only happens with FFXIV, that may be a way to solve it.
