Exactly and that's how it should be thank you.You really don't get it don't you? You compare a spoon with an airplane. Anyone can beat unending coil, the question is time and it has nothing to do with difficulty, only players desire to beat it. When it comes to housing, you're tied up with amount of houses SE can provide and people who want same house as you do. You will still have a chance of clearing *unique content* even if entire player base would clear it, but you wont get a house if there will be no free ones.
No it should not because, i can guarantee to you that if lets say pvp was tied to housing system, a lot of ppl giving some talk like you do would lose their houses onto a fair system, go & argue that there would be any different scenario, you'd more than likely get your diamonds stolen by several players , in other words, it'd be kick asses #&?#@*$ #&%$@(#$ #$&$?@ dont compare rl bs because this is real life afterall real persons are behind characters 39 7456387 4uyu354374 642@&#%@$
The prestige you speak of is nothing, if other player had a fair shot (putting cheaters & better internet/server crash/errors on the side) the current gil value & the camping would outdo Y0ur #(#$ *@#? ?$(@&$#?$. Even if cost of a mansion would be higher it wouldnt change the real problem , the real problem is that we player that get locked out of content because we dont want to make fake fc, get restricted an attempt & even if we did make an fc the # of plots of the size we want is unexistent, demolish small plots & replace them with medium & larges, take 2 small & make a medium , that is not witchcraft, IRL like you all claim so... if you have the money you can destroy two house & make 1 plot of it, or buy 2 empty & build from scratch THIS GAME DOES NOT ALLOW US TO DESTROY TO REBUILD ON A DIFFERENT SIZE WITH THE WRONG PLOT + WE CAN NOT EVEN BUY A RIGHT SIZE & obviously buying several houses isnt a thing anymore anyway.

Diamonds are common, though. Plus the whole thing where we can literally manufacture them.
It's just artificial inflation by a company holding a monopoly, coupled with obscene marketing techniques that have ingrained the idea that diamonds are valuable.
They are intrinsically worthless. That's not just me saying it. That's literally the chairman of the De Beers company that has the monopoly on them.
Nothing else about your post was worth spending much thought on.
Except they practically are. The reason they're expensive and a sign of opulence is called artificial scarcity. Companies aggressively control the supply that flows into the market. Approximately 160 million carats are mined every year, but a large portion, if not the majority, are stockpiled in warehouses away from purchase to create the illusion of rareness. All it takes is a quick google search on google scholar to find many, many, many studies done on this.
Nice troll tho, 3/10. Really got a few people going.
There should be no prestige in owning a house, so anything which lessens any percieved prestige of it is a good thing."When everyone is special; no one is".
I feel like housing is a great way to add individual prestige to the game, but every time you add another plot you are diminishing the prestige or value of everyone else's plot.
Not everybody gets a house, not everybody should, if diamonds were as common as sand no one would want them.
I realise that 90% of players would feel left out of content; but it's no different than the 90% of players who couldn't take on unending coil; it's just a different endgame and a different prestige that people go for.
Please stop adding wards until the player base grows to ensure that never more than 10-20% of players and FCs can own a house.
Or in other words: I completely disagree.
Though I believe we would have less problems with housing if they adapted prices to the current gil inflation a bit more. 3 million for a plot is done with a few crafts or 1 rare item drop, during arr 1 million felt like 50 million nowadays.
The only thing you miss without a house are airships/submarines and a bit of gardening optimization, which you cant do with apartments.
And I cant take people serious who scream very loud about their housing problems if they are still on Balmung trying the impossible, while on other servers wards are empty as fck. If you really care so much about housing, there is a simple solution...
This game community has a big mindset of being entitled to every content and item there is, it is not bad in general that some prestige/exclusive objects exist. But somewhere needs to be a line, like for feast ratedtop10 rewards in the past, with some of those also were made available to everyone by grinding non-rated content. Even with the limited wards we have now, some wards are ghost towns already, I would be happier with other solutions than to add more individual wards every time.

Owning houses could be made more expensive, like a weekly tribute which rises every week to a certain limit like 10 million in several steps(instead of buying them directly/forever). Those tribute prices could be adjusted by the demand there is on the server. If you can afford it you can keep it, if not your house instance will be saved for later use, but the plot location will be open to others. Once you lost it, the weekly tribute will reset again and makes it easy to get it again. So many people gonna stop using housing with their alts and fake fc's because it will not be profitable anymore. There can be a persisting queue system if you are out once, to reapply for the next small/medium/large plots automatically then. I can live 1 week without housing if its guaranteed that my ward is healthy, alive and that I'm gonna save some gil by doing so. With such a dynamic system you can satisfy more people in the log run than with the current static one.
Atm there is no downside for owning a house, if you already have 8 characters with each 1 house and 1 fc house, you can keep them forever even if you are not playing the game at all for 45 days, that is still the joke.
As much as I am not a fan of throwing rocks at the wolf pack, this is great xD
If you say so.
