Dark Knight melee DPS?

As someone that was extremely let down at the DRK reveal of it being a tank, especially when i was hoping it was going to be a melee dps that played similarly to FFX-2's DRK, I'd support this. Especially In it's current watered down state, I'd even go as far to say that how the job functions, especially right now is a insult to the job in previous games.

I hate the idea of this vehemently. I enjoy My Dark Knight as Tank and think the dev team did fine bringing it to FFXIV. The problem is they made WAR and PLD better. That being said i do expect talent/ skill trees down the road, weather i want teem or not.

There are 9 DPS classes to choose from currently! Might I suggest you just try them instead?

I mean War is pretty much a god why would I wanna go back to Drk which has been a let down since SBs launch where they lost pretty much everything that made them fun in HW? I'm gonna continue to let out my war cries as I chainsaw my way to victory as I high five my Pld OT with Shirk while we style allover bosses.

Exactly, the solution is to rename Dark Knight to Samurai and Samurai to Dark Knight.

Meh, tank classes are a crutch hell so are healers. Know what just make encounters have all dodge able mechanics and make every class a pure DPS. Lol then everyone will have the same queue times! PROGRESS! Honestly truth of the matter DRK might be more viable as a dps then tank.

They technically tried this. Three times: 1) Last boss in Stone Vigil HM, 2) Bismarck EX being little more than Jhen Mohran and 3) Steps of Faith being little different to Lao-shao Lung.
