Yea..the old 2.0 little combo I call it.....works sometime during a fight where I have to be the 4th healer (why 4th? cuz there is a rdm XD).Ah let me elaborate real quick: More Skill speed means you are using Riot Blade more often which means your MP regeneration is higher. More MP, More Holy Spirit/Clemency. Occasionally I can pop one outside of Requiescat because otherwise I just have MP chilling in my bar.
I joke that Paladin has a secret fourth combo called "our healer is dead, our dps is dead, oh god everyone is dead" where you just use Fast Blade > Riot Blade to quickly recover mana to spam Clemency in a vain attempt to stay alive. It works.
I have a hard time buying that. I've never died and thought "ah shit, if only I had more tenacity". No, it's either "wtf back to back crit autos", or "why was I sitting at 8k HP for 10 seconds+", or the more common "F**K, I thought I was out of that AoE". Sure, over the course of a fight 10% additional mitigation will add up, but it would only actually make a difference if your healer is perfect and never over heals. 99.99% of the time your healer is healing you for way more damage than you take anyways.
Actually its less about saving your live than it is about reducing constant damage taken to a level where Regen + fairy is enough to heal you though autos. Not always possible but it feels nice when you only cast a heal on the tank when busters happens.
Tenacity's only worth comes from how much more nukes your healers are able to throw out versus healing you from autos. It will never save you from a very telegraphed tank buster.
I was mostly referring to boss AA eventually killing me because healer wouldn't heal me.
It is also possible they were simply waiting for me to be low enough.
It did save me once from ark morn tho.
However the gain is in fact very weak and with a competent group it will not change a thing in its current state.
