Why do I need to burn 8+ hours of my playtime when someone else gets the same reward in 10 minutes?

This. This right here is why RNG systems exist. In those eight hours of playtime, how many total runs did you queue for? Had you gotten four pages ala Savage, would you have even looked at normal mode again?

The entire purpose behind RNG is to keep queues alive. SE already provides an alternative with crafted gear for those who don't want to deal with randomness. You're basically asking to have all the benefits but give back nothing.
