Gambits are a list of conditional commands in priority order. They are formed of two parts, gambit, which is the targeting condition (such as "Ally: <50% HP" would target ally that'd falls below 50%), and action which is executed to thus selected target. They are read from the top of the list, first one that matches is executed then started reading from the top of the list again.

In FF12 the action can be any ability or item the character in question can use. In here I guess we would have list of skills based on the class of the squad member. I would also like to see commands "move to player" and "move to target".

I'm aware squads are rather minor part of the game, but some other minor parts of the game get improved as well time to time.

If you say 'pls' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.

It's good for people leveling low level alt classes/job. Lots of dungeon exp without any queue.
And because you're in control you get to decide whether to do a full clear of ALL mobs for exp or not.
With rested exp, it's an excellent alternative to potd spam. Without rested exp, it's a slightly inferior alternative to potd spam, but good for people who are just sick of potd...

The AI can be challenging (though often still better than pugs), though I find it mostly fine.It was mainly the healer AI that bothered me and they made it better for 4.2. Some people also complain about the tank AI but I use engage/disengage to force it and just take on the job of a tactician.

If I could be tactician with gambits though, that'd be even better.

While the drops aren't amazing, since they're all for me I equip them on my leveling classes (ALL of my ARR/HW non-magic are < 50) if it's an upgrade, then use the rest for GC to turn into Coke or something else I can sell. This means I get to gear them as I level pretty easily without ever spending anything.
