I'm agreeing that people will complain no matter what, my point is there shouldn't be a reason for it to be this bad in the first place. I completely blame game design. It makes sense to me not everyone is going to have access to a limited feature like a home. What I don't understand is what possessed SE to lock so features behind it. If there was, for example, an instanced garden outside your GC property you could plant in or an NPC GC airship/submarine you could gather mats with, there would be far less backlash. If everyone was guaranteed an apartment to put all these event housing items in and dye their chocobo, fair enough. Every single player would then have access to every single "housing feature" and not even need to sweat this mess of a housing system in the first place.
