Why would you join a lootmaster party?

Unless I'm only looking for weapons, I won't even look at lootmaster parties. Putting aside the likely scumminess, who really will stay for four, five, ten hours? Until mount drops are increased, it can take hundreds of runs. No matter how well intended some people may be, they just won't have the time to stick around.

I avoid these parties like the plague. I would rather make my own party finder than join one of those.

I never do for relevant content but sometimes I do for WT stamps. If the party is good I would stay for a few more runs otherwise I just grab my thing and get out

I admittedly rarely try forming them. If I do, I set it so I don't get the mount first. I set it so I'm last to get it most times actually. I also only form them when I have the time to do so. From the majority of statements here, it looks like I'm one of the few who does this.

I did it awhile back on Bismarck, but this was still after many droprate buffs. Because it was buffed enough I didn't think the leader would screw around. Everybody won their mount and nothing sleazy happened, but even then I didn't really feel accomplished in putting faith in this boring marathon and would much prefer just doing short random bursts when I have the time. I especially won't dare try lootmaster order on primals with no droprate increases and usually sleepy dps. I didn't even factor in the point that many leaders will only do their own drop etc.

I join these parties. That's a majority of what goes up in the Aether datacenter. Most don't actually use the lootmaster option, but have it checked for the PF, for some reason. Either way, I can't seem to roll over 30, so I might as well get 99 totems in a party that fills pretty fast.

I'm not terribly surprised, though. A lot of people in this game will willingly screw over even close friends for the sake of a few pixels. I've been unfortunate enough to experience that first hand.

Honestly, not all LM parties are bad. It's better than joining groups and watching people loot and scoot.

I don't join parties unless I know I have the time to sit and farm, but a lot of the time people get theirs and then leave, then I have to go against 7 people again.

When you get to a point of having run it 60 times and then watch someone run it their 2nd or 3rd time and take the drop and run, a LM doesn't look that bad anymore.

I've even had LM party masters that put themselves last on the list of people to get the drop, it's not always selfishness, sometimes it's lets work together to do something for everyone.

My luck is the shittiest. When I do join, is just to grind totems.
