Why would you join a lootmaster party?

If your static has agreed to lootmaster terms do you really need it in the first place? Are statics full of dishonorable people?

I would fully support SE abolishing lootmaster totally.

If yours is full of "dishonorable people" I'd question why your in it.

Having lootmaster reduces the number of clicks on each piece of gear, this reduces the number of misclicks possible. Lootmaster really shouldn't be used amongst strangers, its for groups of friends. With it you can easily gear everyone up evenly without dice rolls getting in the way.

That said, if your group doesn't want to use it, don't. It's really that simple. SE doesn't need to abolish it.

I won't join a random group that doing lootmaster but if it with someone I know and trust who'll not ninja the mount and run, I'll join.

Basically the idea is to get people to stay even when they get their mount. While it doesn't always work and there always that one jerk who like, "hahaha got my mount so long losers!" most groups I've done on lootmaster them eight people stay until everyone got the mount. More often then not, when your just running free for all, people loot their mount and leave. Replacing one person after another and it get tiring when one leaves and another joins who needs the mount. What worse is if you've been in that party the longest and someone new comes in and wins the mount over you and then up's and leaves.

Some people you can trust and actually follow through with the whole group getting what they came in for but a good 95% you can't. You take your chances or you don't. You go in with people you know or you suffer the endless torment of pugs and people not sticking it out until everyone gotten a mount.

The last lootmaster I joined was a laughable experience.

That was a Leviathan EX. I didn't want to farm, i wanted to do it for Khloe anyway and it wasn't even written it was a lootmaster party. Since I had time, I was still going to do some run (i needeed the poney anyway).
What happened is, everyone died really quickly. I asked if I should wipe since I was the last one standing, but the leader of the party told me to keep going.
So I soloed the fight (could do easily as healer).

We opened the chest. Nice! The mount! Guess what ? The leader took it for himself, left and disbanded the party.
So I got my Khloe run yeah, that's what I was here for, even if would have farm a bit. But pretty much spent my time doing the fight alone for this guy. I thought I could at least have the right to roll since I did all the job by myself. Or even a little "thanks" or anything.

Why telling this story?
Cause I won't ever go in a lootmaster party again for any reason.

I would only join these to farm either light for relic weapons or tank achievements in ARR content. Why because with 5 level 70's most these fights can be done in under a minute. Maybe more if there is mechinics that the boss becomes untargetable or invincible.

I don't trust lootmaster parties at all. The party leader may claim that they will give loot/mount to whoever joins in first; as soon as it drops, they'll take it for themselves then disband the group. That's how sneaky some players can be..

I will not join these "loot master/mount in order" either if i'm hoping to get the mount.
Because it's mostly a scam, but even if the party was created with a honest purpose, the chance of the party remaining alive until every one in the party gets his mount is low. In most practical case the party will disband before that.

I'm not terribly surprised, though. A lot of people in this game will willingly screw over even close friends for the sake of a few pixels. I've been unfortunate enough to experience that first hand.

I joined one once, after the mount drop rate had been increased, because I overestimated HOW MUCH it had been increased. I saw the mount-in-order, and figured that hey, it must be easy to get eight mounts now. We got two - and that was after several hours' worth of attempts. One of them went to me, since I was second to join, but I felt pretty dirty about it afterwards. I won't be doing it again.
