Suggestion for orchestrion rolls in the future

Give us a slightly different way of getting them from the 4 man dungeons. I've seen a few of them multiple times but can't get them due to bad RNG.

I'm suggesting that as you keep going into the dungeon you get a decent enough chance for a faded scroll to drop from a boss there (Most than likely the final boss there), and when you get them all you can exchange them for a music roll.

It'd be nicer to have something like this, like with older dungeons before someone thought it was a grand ol' idea to make you have to roll against 3 others....let alone 23 others in raids.

This way rolls aren't gotten as fast, but you don't have to worry about being shafted because of a bad roll.

Lala souls. The solution is lala souls. Appease the dice gods with the proper supplications and they will still torment you, but they will deliver unto that which you desire eventually.

Try and subvert them and you'll never hear the end of their laughter.

gotta agree on the lala souls. Only problem is they need to be offered in the sunken temple dungeon to be of any use. Oh and 1,000 souls=1% RNG drop increase, resets when you get a roll. I do agree you need to be able to get the music in a better way and faster (logically, it IS possible to go 100 runs with the music @ 100% chance and never get it due to bad rolls. Same way it's possible to go 25 runs and get the same scroll 5x). IF you played FFXI, think taru sacrifices for dynamis-same principal here, similar location, and same quantity.

since they are tradeable we already have a way to deal with bad RNG: buy them for gil from a person with better luck.

and some day in the future this problem solves itself thanks to undersized partys.

also premade partys to farm specific loot until everyone has it are a solution too - this is still an mmorpg.

(glad i am a redhead lala, no reason to sacrifice me, i have no soul \^^/ )

There's already such a thing as faded rolls in the game used in crafting (unless that's what you meant when you said 'exchange'). They could give you a chance to have that drop from the final boss per-chara, and the trade-off for having better RNG is that you still have to craft it.

I prefer the current system. There are very few gil sinks in this game to begin with, so having additional items such as orchestrion rolls to throw gil at is very welcome.

Giving your gil to someone else doesn't take gil out of the economy >_>
I.e. there is no gil sink here.

If you wanted them to be a gil sink, put the rolls on the vendor. Giving your gil to an NPC is where it gets destroyed.

It may not take it out of the economy but it certainly gives me something to spend gil on. I'd rather see my gil go to other players than be destroyed, anyway.

I wouldn't oppose a special mount that cost, like, fifty million gil to purchase from a vendor though.
