Aggressively undercuts by 1 gil.
Undercutting by less than 1% is what I consider obnoxious. My most recent undercutting binge was jump-starting the 3-star mat market. NQ mats listed for 400% markup, I'll list for 50% markup and watch stuff sell.It seems like a lot of people need a lesson on this.
1. Evaluate the prices.
2. Go 200-500 Gil lower first. Do not just drop it by 10,000 Gil. You do want to make money right?
3. Your thing gets overshadowed by lower prices. No big deal! If everyone priced at lower increments, instead of being desperate, we’d all get similar profits from that item. Unless it becomes more common however. Items demoted to being common will naturally fall in price.
That’s it. It’s simple. Please don’t undercut obnoxiously.
Welcome to the free market, where I can decide to sell whatever I can, for however much I can. Especially since 99% of it is gotten completely free(none of my time spent getting it - thanks retainers!)
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
Just for this post, I'm gonna keep undercutting by boatloads. Not because I'm still making a profit, no, but because I feel like it.
People who complain about undercutting are generally the one who don't understand economics 101 and flood the market with goods. Supply, demand.

A mentor stole my house, slapped me across the face, and raised my ping from 15 to 30. Literally unplayable.

I'd rather SE let capitalism and supply and demand dictate the market, thanks. They're not forcing us to play the marketboard. Imposing unneeded restrictions would make succeeding at it much less enjoyable.
I take it you never saw 2 people undercut spam each other by 1 second intervals for 1 hour. (That is possible when one raises it back up because it goes too low, then person 2 fixes it to be slightly under person A again and they keep going. Also you do that by having 2 copies of the item in question on 2 different retainers, so you change the price on one, then go to the second retainer cuz you know the person is going to undercut by the time you load up the second retainer.)
I get the idea of capitalism but come on there needs to be some kind of limit otherwise you are encouraging carpal tunnel syndrome at that point. Personally I wouldn't do it, my health is more important but geeze some people are crazy.
