Suggestion - 5th Housing Ward - Ishgard

A long time ago toward the end of Heavensward we were told that one day Ishgard housing would open to Adventurers. When is this going to happen SE?

Not only would this add a whole ward worth of housing, it would also provide a niche genre of housing that we are lacking. Classic midevial RPG styled housing! I could also see it making Ishgard more lively, and less dead as it is in its current state.

I would even go as far to say that a 6th housing ward at the end of 4.0 would also be helpful. Perhaps it could be in Ala Mhigo, or maybe in Doma after we rebuild. I don’t care. I’ll take anything at this point. The recent changes have been a tremendous help, but why not keep this trend going?

This. New housing wards were teased WITH Ishgard at the forefront and that never came to be. Now that Ishgard is done with the Dragonsong War, isn't it time to let Adventurers move in and help rebuild, too? It would have made a lot of sense had it been done but for some reason, we got Shirogane! Not that I'm complaining, but Ishgard, come on...!

I was hoping for the Ishgard housing when the Heavensward expansion came out but the FFXIV team disappointed, maybe now that they made what they wanted with Shirogane (which I don't like at all) is time for them to work on the snowy Ishgardian ward!...

I could have moved my little house to Shirogane last night but fate had it I couldn't buy the property on my first attempt so I went running back to my favorite place, the Lavender Beds and got myself a nice mansion, I'll be waiting until a better housing area is created!...

I believe prior to apartments being released, Yoshi said Ishgard was going to be the next housing district. But this was years ago, and later at one of the fanfests (I think NA...) they said that after apartments they realized they couldn't make both Ishgard and Shirogane so they went with Shirogane for 4.0.

Last I remember hearing, its back to being teased "maybe next district" again.

I have a better idea..... remove all housing wards, make 1 communal ward with instanced housing plots.

More of a case that they realised they were too late to make sense releasing it as part of 3.x so they just worked on Shirogane for 4.0, knowing that they were having the Eastern theme. It was implied that all main cities would have housing, effectively releasing a new housing area per expansion, but they got caught up with other things that weren't initially planned to be in 3.x (like Diadem 2.0 & Hildibrand).

I just moved from Shiro to Brimming Heart in the Goblet today, but I'd abandon it all and spend millions more to relocate to a house in Ishgard.

from an in-game persective i don't see how ishgard would be a viable housing option-- considering coerthas is practically uninhabitable and under the jurisdiction of a nation that but recently opened its doors to the outside world. how does one expect ishgard to funnel funds into a housing disract when they're still trying to rebuild their city...

...but personally... i would love this. i have such a strong ishgard bias :x maybe one day ;_;
