SMN would have arroud the same number if using pet skills was that rewarding.
Tanks also have a lot of skills and PLD isn't really the most deep and complex class to play. NIN or MCH doesn't have that much boutton on the other hand.

It's not about just having a lot of option, it's also about those option making sense. It's about how you can use them. Right now, there's few you can't handle as SCH by pressing indo or whispering down. And if it's enough, eh, succor was buffed.
It's not the best way to play ? Sure, but it works enough and if you press chain stratagem every 2 minute no one would care about it.

Before making SCH a class really more complex than just unintuitive, it should first be a class with tools that are made for the current and not how the game was meant to play 2 or 4 years ago. All those SCH skills are just different options from different games dopped on top of each other and right now it's a getting a bit shacky. Once again, just watch the way it was tuned in SB : it lost something like a third of it gameplay and was nerfed and a lot of point only to get absurd level of ptency buff just behind.

In 4.0, everyone seemed to agree that it was OP because good players could keep 100% cleric stance uptime, now its AoE basic GCD is stronger than medica and I keep saying "now it's good because its more complex than WHM".
Basically, everyone seem to be happy that SCH is "more complex" now that it's easier to pick it up.
