    Simple suggestion

    Hi,

WoW "vanilla" (without any xpac) had three battleground two of which are still the most popular and enjoyable to play in both my experience and pretty much everyone I've asked.

These two are Warson Gulch and Arathi Bassin which are nothing more than the very classic "Capture the Flag" and "Hold the Base" type of PvP battleground.

Most subsequent WoW battleground are a bit like the one we have in FF14, a bit more innovative with specials rules and while they might be fun to do time to time, they're weren't as enjoyable and liked by the population as the WG and AB as far as I recall.
The more complex the battleground was, the more "Frontline" it became, everyone rush to one point and try to finish the BG asap.

FF14 doesn't have any of those very simplistic yet effective and fun battleground.

I enjoyed playing and Astralogos and I suppose if the Frontline wasn't some sort of crystal rush I guess I could have enjoyed too, but I have the feeling that these bg by their very nature will not work because they you need to understand how the BG work unlike very simple one like "Capture the flag" where you can quickly find something you enjoy doing, like keeping the flag or healing it or simply killing random players.

I am not a veteran PvPer so perhaps my lack of experience make me think this way, but what do more experience PvPers think?

Would you like to see more "traditional" battleground with smaller team (8x8 for instance) other than the Feast. ?

Been asking for an 8vs8 CTF ever since 2.0, seeing as how much Warsong Gulch is enjoyed and loved with the WoW PvP community. Having 8vs8 battles would also speed up queues and not require 48/72 people to queue. I have felt that it has been a truly missed opportunity to not have had something like this in the game a long time ago.

Yup the 24man(or 16 if there is only 2 teams)we have here is the perfect size when it comes to "large scale" pvp, only mode where 48/72 works is Secure as it force splits all teams to group of 8 players. And yeah Seize is almost like AB and that is why its the mode i like most, too bad we never got WSG clone in here as mode that encourages "trolling" would have been so much fun(being a flag carrier as an rogue with double sprint, shadowstep, swiftness potions, nifty stopwatch = catch me if you can huehuehue! https://youtu.be/HUPexEfCG7g?t=11m55s ).

Mhm, Seal Rock is extremely similar to Arathi Basin, except with random flag points as opposed to fixed. The main difference, though, is the 3-team setup as opposed to two, which puts the total player number at 24, rather than 16, in the existing "smaller team" setup. (Ironically, that's still less than the original needs at 15 players per team, i.e. 30 total. Even Warsong needs 20).

Personally, I only endure this game's PvP to nab some easy rewards at this point, so I don't have strong feelings about maps one way or the other. Considering that this is a common sentiment however, smaller teams with little restrictions would be beneficial to the queues and the ability to downsize should be emphasized in further PvP development.
