Need help finding a server.

So i finally got some friends to try this game and they love it. the bad news is, i am from Balmung. so i need to find a server for us all to transfer to. Just looking for advice on what server are active, what type of communities they have and whats the housing situation. (having Shirogane housing would be a huge plus)

I think for our datacentre, pretty much all worlds are currently active. I can only speak for Siren, but we're pretty chill on here. The novice network is actually very helpful (I'm a mentor) and generally, you'll find somebody doing something. Can't really say the same for raiding - it's rare that I run into another Siren raider. I'd have to say a good chunk of players are essentially laid back.

If you guys like hunting, the multiple hunt linkshells do communicate with each other and tend to wait for more players as long as they know more people are coming. The first three city states are pretty well populated as well, even Ul'dah, surprisingly. Housing is a nightmare, like most other servers, and the free market is actually decently priced compared to other more populated servers.

Hi from Midgardsormr. We are the home of The Mr. Face and they do things as a group with the rest of the other faces every weekend. we have two rp fc's if you and your friends are into that. That i know of. I would try Kyoto fc as they have it in their shouts. A lot tend to hang out in Limsa and the Reach. Most of the rp i tend to see is in the housing wards. there tends to be people in them. There have been some really good parties thrown on the server in the past. There is a decent raid scene. I havent checked out the housing but there is normally a house or two open. We're not too big or too small right now.

I was worried about that, i have a house on Balmung (i got real lucky), i would really hate to move and be unable to get a replacement. I have no hope of balmung opening back up any time soon.

Leviathan is just as populated as Balmung now, though there are others too!

thank you, you made it sound pretty appealing so I did some more research and this server seems pretty dang good, you said the raid scene was good? i assume there is a pretty good amount of people clearing things and a healthy party finder going on? The people that i'm getting into the game don't want to raid hardcore (they got enough of that in wow) but are still interested in clearing thing at a reasonable pace.

Faerie has a nice community in general, I've been here since new year's eve and I don't regret the transfer. About the housing subject I don't know, but if you look for a friendly place, Faerie could be. There's some RP as well, but not as serious as in Balmung or Mateus.

Come to Hyperion & send me an ingame msg for FC invite. We've got a pretty large one, and the best mansion in our ward. As for personal housing, it's not possible for you to individually own a house at this time, although apartments are available.
