Adding housing after a Maint. Why?

I got the impression they wouldn't be opening the housing antil an hour after the maintenance ends. That will stop those getting stuck in the login queue with 1000+ people ahead of them and everything being gone while they spent 30 mins in the queue. No doubt it will also still disappear fast, but at least the login queue won't be a factor (and not everyone logging in is interested in a house, plenty are stuck waiting 20-30 mins to log in right after every patch is released, housing or not).

If they could do that they would not have to add a Maint at all. They could have added them last week and had them go live at 2am. It reads that they go live when Maint is over.

I'll be mighty unhappy if another tuesday happens and I'm in a 2k que! Houses weren't even added last week and I was stuck with a silly 2k que! Like Right on the dot of server up! Annoying as heck.

Shouldn't happen since houses opens up 1 hour after patch get on. Last time round it didnt take 1 hour to get on? Took me maybe 5-10 min

Are you sure it will be an hour after? I'm... trying to agree but have found no source agreeing with that statement.

The one hour delay was from a reddit thread (possibly more than one) I read, maybe something has changed since then or maybe somene got the wrong end of the stick. I guess you can track down in a google search.

They really need to do something with that login queue though, the great majority of people complaining about the last release was they were just stuck waiting in the queue. They really do need to allow ample time to log in before releasing the plots.

Ya, I was there last time. Bitterly struck with error after error before surrendering to the super lucky groups that swept through the area and bitterly hating on the entire server. That said. Reddit claims one hour (Which would be sooooo nice) But from both US and EU Pages

After the scheduled maintenance on Tuesday, February 6, new plots in each residential district will be made available for purchase as follows:

This doesn't hold much hope for an hour later deal. Either way, I guess I'll deal with the stress of the queue regardless and if it happens an hour later then well I'll be at least be ready.

Edit: And after a horrendous (yes I hate doing searches) search through reddit I see a single claim from a megathread I'm not willing to tear through! XD

It took 30 min in queue on Hyperion? When? I've never had a queue that bad here. And I always get up early for every single stupid patch.

edit: When I logged in this morning I was 35 in queue, relocated a house, was confused by how long it was taking and how it wanted me to build my estate (my reaction being - lol, what? it's supposed to just move), logged out hoping that would fix whatever problem was going on, then logged back in to being just over 300 in queue, took 5-10 from first log in until I was back in the game a second time.

no it doesn't (though such a thing is sorely needed). we can only hope for a more detailled explaination priot to the patch I guess.
