    The % change not by the level but the amount of what it give

    Try this IV STR with 16 str and then try a III with STR 14 or 15 and you would see that you gain 1-2 more % so using lower version does not help it also have to do with how much it give. Gear would never help your % and it wont ever maybe one day but for now the only way is to keep trying to add stuff over and over and over.

    Please read the thread. We all know this but the thread is about having good gear to affect the percentage to attach multiple materia to gear.

    I also agree that the materia meld rate shouldn't be touched since it's the balancing mechanism of the system and raising the odds even slightly would throw everything out of whack. 1% more successful melds adds up to a ton more multi-melded materia in existence. Having a high craft level is already required to perform melds of any sort of relevance already. Once the HQ system gets revamped and you're able to better prepare/aim for it, you can use your high tier crafting gear and high crafting level to aim for that and that in turn will increase your success rate.
