You misunderstand the meaning of exclusive. Anyone CAN get those items any time. If you don't choose to, that's just on you..

I mean I get your sentiment, but the PvP gear isn't exclusive to PvP. Everyone can join PvP, and if you don't choose to, that's on you. You can wear the gear outside of PvP. I don't see how that's any different than forcing people to raid if they want a specific gear piece or minion, or forcing people to tank if they want one of the tank mounts. Replace every use of "PvP" and "PvPers" with "raiding" and "raiders" and you suddenly have every unfair accusation raiders have been getting for years.

I guess to stay on topic an add my own unpopular opinion: I don't care about butt sliders. Would I like more booty? Sure. But if I had to pick cosmetic features to work on the butt slider is the last of my priorities.

She does not mean PvP rewards, as in the stuff you get for the tokens. She means ranking rewards gotten at the end of Feast for those that have the most points. Those are exclusive. You cannot get them once the season ends. And only X people can get them, depending on the reward. Very few X people. Look here.

The trophy is pretty obvious. I mean, you shouldn't get a trophy if you're not the best, right?! I personally have no issue with an exclusive TROPHY for being the best. Maybe some sort of medal as an accessory for those lower on the rankings and/or for meeting the specific rank (I mean gold, diamond and what not). But when rewards include MINIONS and MOUNTS, both of which are collectables in this game, and glamour, which is the most popular "end-game" stuff to do for many casual players, really, it stops being fine with me and apparently Itswhateverthough.

Telling collectors that they never can fill their collection is bad. Honestly, even though I have no means of getting the "top tier" collectables in most games anyway, I quit multiple games over them being altogether exclusive, cause those games offered little other incentive. And its one thing not being able to fill the collection due to being too bad a player or not spending enough time/effort, another thing entirely if the rewards are just plain impossible to get.
This is why I despise all sorts of pre-order bonuses in games. I'd be fine if they game stuff like double experience/double money and such. Stuff I can grind for anyway, while never getting the bonus itself. I'm fine with physical items. In the end, those can be bought from others on live market one way or another. But items otherwise unavailable and irreplaceable are just irritating. And some games go even further by offering different pre-order bonuses based on where you bought the game...

Really? Please tell me how I should be hated for simply liking something that I actually gave a chance and discovered was (WAS) actually rather enjoyable?
Tell me how I should be hated when I try to hold SE to a reasonable standard and they not only fail to meet it, they turn around and ask for feedback then ignore it?
Tell me how I should be hated for writing guides, teaching other players, offering advice, and even giving field commands that have directly influenced wins?
Tell me how I should be hated when I show no hate or bias toward PvE content and gladly go out of my way to help others, yet the moment I even mention PvP, I can practically hear the switch turn off in their head?

I'm rather known to be a passionate person, especially when it comes to PvP, and I won't hide that. Whatever personal hate or bias you have, that's on you, and I'm not even going to try to change that. I will however, gladly stand against you if you even think to use said hate or bias to propagate mistruths about it, especially when even a child can see just how skewed and unfair PvP and the people that enjoy it are treated in this game, by both SE and the community.

So I challenge your statement: Tell me what reason there is for PvPers to feel hated in this community. "Unpopular opinions" need not apply. You better bring some facts.

Can you really blame them? Even raiders haven't felt the nerf bat towards their preferred content more than PvPers. At least the former now has Ultimate. PvP was completely gutted and a small subset of complaints led to chat getting banned yet feedback on job balance, game modes, rank decry and plenty more go by without mention. I get the crux of your post seems to revolve around item exclusivity but you're going about it in a horribly antagonistic way that will only garner detractors. And rightly so.

Just settle on, "I think everything should be available to everyone in some manner. No limited time exclusives" and be done with it.

I mean yeah its a thread for unpopular opinions but even these seem really going for the PvP juggular. And thats from someone who is doesn't care much for any PvP in MMOs.

As for another of my own, while I do agree making cutscenes always mandatory for Castrum and Prae is a band-aid at best, I hate hate HATE that it seems most vets going in there will complain about it the whole damn way. If you hate it that much DON'T GO IN, thats the best way to make SE change their mind.

So here's my unpopular opinion...

Guide videos are useless. I can't understand them. More power to the people who can, but I learn better running in blind so that I can see the effects of attacks in person and strategize from there.

To add to that...they spoil the whole idea of learning new things. I especially get very salty when someone is told to watch a video before they even start a boss fight in the first place.

I don't mind coaching a sprout text/verbally before they see a boss fight...but I'm not going to spoil the fight in terms of visual/lore/other.

Yeah, I mean easy things like "after we kill the smokestack, you need to get a ghost" is the kind of stuff I can take. Coming at me like "When Phantom Train takes flight, you need to jump up into the wheel, defeat Kefka without using your weapon, and go back in time and defeat Bahamut using the first weapon you got in the game that may not be the one you're on now on this one pixel segment that's randomized each time and doesn't show and then get a ghost" is the stuff I hear when I watch videos.

I don't tolerate unneccessary info well.

Obviously that's fake, but I'm terrified of going into content that actually isn't that hard because "OMFG WHY DIDN'T YOU WATCH THE VIDEO EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW IS IN FIVE DIFFERENT VIDEOS KILL YOURSELF" followed by a kick.
