I feel this is a bit unpopular because I've never seen anyone complain about the Black Mage spell elements before.

I actually liked the 1.0 Thaumaturge concept (with Astral and Umbral spells) as well as Conjurer having all six elemental spells.

Which isn't to say I think 2.0 would be improved by either of those things, but I miss them just the same.

I honestly don't know how anyone would consider this unpopular, but SE needs to do much more to reduce the skill cap on classes, and condense combos into one button per, have more skills "upgrade" rather than adding still more button bloat, and do much more of this by 5.0 at least.

FFXIV suffers from serious button bloat, and classes are much too difficult to master compared to its competition and its hurting the game.

More seriously now.. the 2.5s gcd still bugs me a bit, used to it and I understand why they use it... but still ...

SE should stick to gender exclusive outfits and not work on making them accessable for both sides.
While I welcome their effort, it means there is less being done for new stuff and the few costumes that are locked out on each side shouldn't be a reason for people to have their jimmies rustled that much.
One side will always have more.

We are two expansions in, there should be enough for every taste.

My second one is that, the main story is pointless and cringeworthy altogether, if there would be an option to skip it entirely and grind i would do it.
Sadly you cant.
I know the story is maybe the thing that brings people into, but i just simply dont care.
Playing on flat design, we good, them bad, just makes me wish to enjoy the empire and cut these stupid faces into the pieces. I truly hate the story and half of the "good guys" in it, its linear and banal it actually makes you hurt by just reading all these "dialogs".
Give us an option to join empire, so i can mop the floor with that **** lyse, thx bye.

Not really based IN-game, but - I really dislike the XIV subreddit. It seems like the overwhelming majority of posts are just screenshots or memes.

This place is far from perfect, but at least some conversation can be had. :X
