Hard to get house on Tuesday?

Greetings!

Our FC just hit 6 this morning, and my wife is planning to stay up all night on Mon night/Tues morning to try to get us a small FC house in one of the new Lavender Beds wards...

Couple questions though...

#1 - By 4 or more members, do they mean characters, or players (we have 9 characters by 3 players in the FC atm.)

#2 - Will it be that difficult to get a small plot in the LB? It's all we have the gil for atm, and won't mind a small FC house to start and perhaps upgrade later. Or should I just relinquish my small personal house in the Goblet and try to get it for the FC?

On behemoth that could be very difficult from what I have heard, but giving up you plot right now would not be good either because of the random timer that would start up. Going for just a small could give you a small leg up. Would suggest checking out the aetherpoints right now you might luck out with a small opening up already. As for the members it just says members not specific characters. Can only try and see if it will work or recruit one more person.

1. Thus far it's just 4 characters. They haven't announced any changes to this and it's how it's currently working after the patch.
2. Small plots are a lot easier to go for than the large ones, but still be ready to rush. Map out how to get to the plot of your choice in both the main ward and subdivision and jot down some second/third choices. If you have the means and opportunity to grab a larger plot in a location you can enjoy, you may want to snag it because it's usually a long wait for medium/large plots to open back up (or more to be added).

I am on Behemoth and will be trying to relocate from LB Ward 10, plot 29. You can camp that spot. It's beautiful place, waterfall and lake behind.

Our FC started out as five or six people and their alts back at the start of the game but since then most have moved on or been inactive so long we noticed the game now says 'can not retrieve' on our FC roster. So its down to the last two or three of us. We still have 15 members and we already have an FC house but we would like to relocate. We're hoping they really mean members and not account holders because I think 14 of the 15 belong to myself and the other founder.

They never stated it has to be 4 unique service accounts. So i would imagine as long you have enough members in FC, alt or 4 randoms shouldn't matter.

You can relocate with a 1 member fc. This only affects fresh purchases.

#1, these are characters. I have 2 accounts and basically made up an FC with 2 characters from each account (for ease of inviting myself to the FC). I was able to buy an FC house with just 2 characters from each account but they can be all be from one account.

#2 If you get on the servers quickly and head straight to a ward, you should be able to get a small house in Goblet pretty easily.

A few tips:

scout out locations now. Understand how subdivisions work so you can teleport to your desired plot quickly. I wrote down houses I like and their corresponding subdivision plot. I also have 2 other choices in case my primary choice is not available.

do not go to the first or last open ward (13 or 18). Go to one in the middle as most people gravitate to the start of a list or the end of a list. If you see the house your want taken up, go to the subdivision or a new ward.

Shirogane is going go fast. Unless you have a fast connection and are willing to compete against multiple people, you may want to stick to Goblet, Mist, or LB.

Cool. Thanks for the tips. We talked about it and figured Shirogane will go fast (and it looked boring to us), so we decided to try for LB. (My personal small estate is in Goblet, and we've been using that, but prefer a FC house.) We only have about 5 mil saved up, so we'll be after a small.

do make sure since you do already own a personal house that you buy a new house on the placecard instead of relocating your personal house, i heard a few people did that during 4.1 and it can be hectic for the launch and it would stink to have that happen. at least what ive been doing on my smaller pop server since there is a few houses currently open, ive been going to them to familiarize myself with the interface and what i actually have to click on to purchase the plot. i think you guys will be fine though, having the mindset to go straight for a small plot gives u a leg up on everyone that loses out on the large/mediums.
