    ....but then that makes you wonder, what happens if character 1 buys a FC house, and then goes inactive and loses leadership and membership in said FC. Are they forever locked out of buying a new FC house, since they were the buyer and the house is still up?

    If they aren’t locked, then all one needs to do to have multiple houses is a friend or a second account and just pass leadership around.

    Still seems like an oversight to me.

    Buyer or not, if the former master of an FC leaves the FC, then they can still purchase another plot in the future unless they have alt characters still in the initial FC. Once purchased, the plot belongs to the FC as a whole, not just the master.

    Yeah so basically all they did was add some RNG to when houses become available to purchase, and give dibs to Free companies first.

    Which the second half of that makes sense to me, as I have always personally felt FC’s should have first dibs, but.... just tossing in RNG is not a very good way to “fix” housing issues. Especially when it can easily be bypassed by simply having a FC and Gil instead of just Gil.

    I personally don’t mind having or not having a house I’m perfectly content with just an apartment, but I thought i’d see what others knew/thought. Thanks for the information and input.

    The random purchase timer is more so to discourage house flippers; Yoshi-P actually made a comment in the last Live Letter that he was “extremely disappointed” that people were buying plots and flipping them for double and triple the initial price, if not more.

    Relocation bypasses the random timer completely, though. So if an FC has a small and would like to upgrade, they can instantly relocate to a medium or large the moment the plot opens up. Personal home owners can do the same as well; it’s currently the only way for individuals to “obtain” personal housing (though it’s more so “upgrading” your existing personal housing).
