ShinryuEX's difficulty and the reasons for it being so are irrelevant to my point. It was a rougher fight for most compared to O1S/O2S which were both face roll encounters, doubly so once people got geared.
No, I'd argue they are on the same level of difficulty. I can concede that Shinryu slightly towers over O5S, but it took my static not longer than 1 hour of progression to kill Shinryu EX. We cleared O2S in around 1.5. Purely from my point of view, of course.
